Drug maker Ranbaxy said on Tuesday it had reached a deal with Nippon Chemiphar to sell its holding in a joint venture to the Japanese company.                                           

Ranbaxy, majority owned by Japan's Daiichi Sankyo, said the joint venture Nihon Pharmaceutical Industry Co would  become a wholly owned unit of Nippon Chemiphar.
