Tata Motors, said on Monday it has signed a contract with Myanmar Automobile & Diesel Industries Ltd to set up a heavy truck plant in the country.

The plant, to be set up at Magwe about 480 km from Yangon, will have an annual capacity of 1,000 vehicles and is expected to be operational by the last quarter of 2010-11, the company said in a statement.
