Isha Ambani, the only daughter of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife, Nita Ambani, in a recent interview, took the internet by storm as she revealed details about her life, children, and her relationship with her sisters-in-law Shloka Mehta and Radhika Merchant.
Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani are one of the richest people in the world. The couple has three children - Akash Ambani, and Isha Ambani - who are twins, and a younger son named Anant Ambani.
As of now, the Ambani family is busy preparing for the grand wedding of Anant Ambani and his fiance Radhika Merchant. Amid this, Isha Ambani has now opened up, in an interview with Vogue, about the importance of female friendship and the relationship she shares with both Shloka Mehta and Radhika Merchant.
She said, "I was very lucky that the person who my brother decided to marry was my best friend, Shloka. Shloka became like my sister as we grew up. Even right now, we’re sharing the house in London and we joke that we’re actually married to each other because both Akash and Anand (Piramal) are in Mumbai and we’re here with the kids."
For the unversed, Akash Ambani, Isha Ambani, and Shloka Mehta all studied at the same school and grew up together.
While Shloka Mehta has been a childhood best friend of Isha Ambani, it has not deterred her from forming a bond with Anant Ambani's to-be wife Radhika Merchant.
Speaking about her relationship with Radhika Merchant, Isha Ambani told Vogue India, "Anant has always been like the baby figure in my life, someone whom I’ve doted on, so I look at Radhika with a mothering eye. My mum, Shloka, and Radhika are my closest confidantes and my first line of friends."
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are all set to tie the knot on July 12 in Mumbai. They recently organised a second pre-wedding celebration on a luxury cruise ship in Europe.
