There are many ultra-wealthy businessmen in India like Mukesh Ambani, Ratan Tata and Gautam Adani, who lead a luxurious lifestyle and own a hoard of cars and properties. However, the owner of the world’s most expensive private jet is not Indian.
Not Mukesh Ambani or Ratan Tata, but the world’s most expensive private jet is owned by Saudi Arabia prince and businessman Al Waleed bin Talal Al Saud, who is a member of a prominent Middle East royal family and owns a massive fortune.
Saudi prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud reportedly owns the most expensive private jet in the world, which is estimated to be worth USD 500 million, which comes out to be over Rs 4100 crores in Indian currency. While both Ambani and Tata own private jets, their values are much less.
The private jet owned by businessman Al Waleed bin Talal al-Saud is a Boeing 747, which usually costs about USD 150 million to 200 million. The overall cost of the private jet model owned by the prince is over USD 500 million due to the modifications and luxurious additions made to the plane.
Talal al-Saud’s private plane has a capacity of 800 people, with the plane being modified with a 10-seater dining hall, a luxurious bedroom suite, prayer room, an entertainment room, a home theatre system as well as a spa and sauna.
Al Waleed bin Talal Al Saud’s net worth, according to Forbes, is Rs 1.55 lakh crore, which is less than that of Ratan Tata and Mukesh Ambani.
Meanwhile, Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani owns a Boeing Business Jet 2, which is reportedly worth Rs 603 crore. Adani Group’s Gautam Adani also owns multiple private jets - Bombardier Challenger 605, Embraer Legacy 650, and Hawker Beechcraft 850XP.
Meanwhile, Tata Group’s Ratan Tata owns one of the most expensive private jet models Dassault Falcon 2000, which is worth over Rs 200 crore. Other billionaires who own private jets are Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and Jeff Bezos.
