On December 11, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma celebrate their third wedding anniversary and it was the Indian cricket team skipper who took to Twitter and wished Anushka Sharma a very happy wedding anniversary. Uploading a Black and White photo of his wedding, Virat Kohli tweeted, “3 years and onto a lifetime together.” This heart-warming tweet has already been retweeted over 2000 times and has received over 33K likes.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma officially tied the knot in a private ceremony in Florence (the capital city of Tuscany) in Italy in 2017. At that time, Virat Kohli had tweeted, ““Today we have promised each other to be bound in love for ever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you.This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.” Anushka Sharma also posted a picture of their wedding on Twitter with a similar caption.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma then hosted a reception in New Delhi for their relatives on 21st December and it was followee by a reception for industry friends and cricketers in Mumbai on 26th December.

Following the news, Virat Kohli announced that he was going to take a paternity leave and play only the first Test in Australia in Adelaide on December 17. The Pink Ball Test will be Virat Kohli’s final international engagement before he flies back to India and be with Anushka Sharma for the special moment. The BCCI granted paternity leave and that drew a mixed reaction from Indian cricket fans, who stated that national duties should come first.
