From Sanjana Ganesan to Mayanti Langer - Glamorous and beautiful Indian female anchors in cricket

When one talks about female anchors or hosts, one surely cannot forget Mandira Bedi. Anyone who follows cricket would be quite familiar with her.

In 1994 she acted in a television serial, Shanti, and followed it up with many other TV shows. She has acted in many films as well.

Mandira hosted the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2003 and 2007. She was also burdened with the duties of the Champions Trophy in 2004 and 2006. 

The woman was even seen hosting the IPL season 2 for Sony Max and the following season for British Network – ITV. 

Mayanti Langer - she needs no introduction, having being associated with the Star Sports network for several years now. Mayanti is also married to a cricketer, Stuart Binny.

The 34-year-old started her hosting career with a show called Football Cafe on Zee Sports. She then went on to host the 2010 FIFA World Cup, 2010 Commonwealth game and finally ventured into the cricket field.

Mayanti hosted the 2011 World Cup and the 2015 edition of the tournament as well. She went on to host several bilateral series and T20 World Cups.

Her maiden IPL stint came in 2018 when Star Network acquired the broadcasting rights. 

What can Shibani Dandekar not do. A singer, actress, and model, she has been a familiar face to the Indian audience. The girlfriend of Bollywood actor-producer Farhan Akhtar, Shibani is a known face in the show business.

She began her career as a television anchor in American television before she returned to India. While she hosted several Hindi shows and events, the 38-year-old even pursued a career in modelling.

Shibani, between 2011 and 2015, worked as an anchor for the Indian Premier League (IPL) which became her major claim to fame.

She was also spotted in Hindi films namely Sultan, Naam Shabana, and Bhavesh Joshi: Superhero.

Currently one of the most well-known hosts is none other than Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah's wife - Sanjana Ganesan. The 28-year-old sports presenter and TV host worked with Star Sports for the IPL, hosting and presenting various shows.

She had made her TV debut with the popular reality show MTV Splitsvilla 7. She has also worked with the Premier Badminton League (PBL) as a presenter. Sanjana Ganesan had a brief modelling career before becoming a sports presenter.

She was the co-host of Star Sports' post-match show Match Point and Cheeky Singles. It was part of the channel's 2019 World Cup coverage.

She has also done shows for the Indian Super League (ISL) and hosted the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction.

Another known face is Archana Vijaya. The Kolkata beauty has been an integral part of the anchoring team of the Indian Premier League (IPL) ever since its inception. 

Starting off as a model in the television show 'Get Gorgeous' in 2004, she also participated in Jalak Dikhla Jaa 5 and worked as a VJ on Channel V.

She had signed up with Neo Sports first as an anchor and hosted the shows 'Tour Diary' for Extra Cover and 'Cricket…Tadka Marke'. 

Archana was present in almost every season of the IPL as long as the broadcasting rights were with Sony TV.

The Femina Miss India in 2012, Rochelle Rao got quite some fame when she contested in Bigg Boss 9. She later, in 2018 went on to marry her long-time boyfriend Keith Sequeira.

She was also famous for her character 'Lottery' in The Kapil Sharma Show and had also featured in the Kingfisher Calendar in 2014. 

The 30-year-old  got popular in the field of cricket with her stint in the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). She, however, couldn't continue anchoring the league for a longer time. 

The British actor, model, and TV Presenter - Karishma Kotak - wanted to become a teacher initially, but destiny had other plans.

The 36-year-old has been actively involved in modelling and acting since 1998. She was include in the Kingfisher Calendar and participating in Bigg Boss 6. 

She along with Rochelle hosted the IPL-6 and earned many fans with her beautiful looks.

Pallavi Sharda who is an Australian-born Indian-Nepalese was extremely famous amongst the Indian audience for her work in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'My Name is Khan'. In 2010, Pallavi shifted from Melbourne to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting. 

In 2016, the 26-year-old joined the Sony crew and anchored the Indian Premier League that year. Even though she anchored in the league only for one year, she managed to build up a huge fan base.

Pallavi had also worked in films like Dus Tola, Besharam, Hawaizaada, and Begum Jaan. 

Shonali Nagrani who won the Miss India International pageant in 2003, was one of the Top 5 participants at the Femina Miss India pageant. 

The 35-year-old had a great career as a TV presenter and hosted Popcorn on ZoomTV and Great Indian Laughter Challenge on Star One. In 2007, she also hosted the IIFA Awards in Dubai and was a celebrity contestant in Bigg Boss 5.

As fr cricket, Nagrani began hosting the Champions Trophy in 2006. She was the presenter at the World Cup 2007 and World T20 in 2009 and 2010. 

She was even one of the hosts for IPL 2008 and was signed by ITV in 2011 for the coverage of IPL in the UK. Since went on to host four consecutive editions of the T20 league.

She has had cameos in the movies like Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Dil Bole Hadippa!. 

Roshni Chopra is a known face in the television fraternity. She hosted several shows in her career including India's Got Talent, Comedy Circus Teen ka Tadka and Comedy Nights with Kapil. 

Roshni, at one point in time, was the pre and post-match presenter on the cricket show Fourth Umpire that used to be aired on Doordarshan.

Apart from this, she also starred in three films, namely, Let's Enjoy, Bhram: An Illusion, and Phhir. She also is from the Yash Chopra family and is married to film-maker Siddharth Anand Kumar.
