Gautam Gambhir salutes spirit of ISRO

East Delhi MP and former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir lauded Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) for their hard work while and claimed that they will definitely be successful in the future.

Following ISRO's announcement of communication loss with 'Vikram Lander', Gambhir in a tweet said, "It is only a failure if we do not learn from our setbacks. We will come back stronger! I salute the great spirit of team @isro for making a billion Indians dream together, as one. The best is definitely yet to come #Chandrayaan2," Gambhir tweeted.

Earlier, ISRO in a tweet had said, "This is Mission Control Centre. #VikramLander descent was as planned and normal performance was observed up to an altitude of 2.1 km. Subsequently, communication from Lander to the ground stations was lost. Data is being analyzed. #ISRO".

The scientists at ISRO lost contact with the Vikram lander of the Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft at just 2.1 km from the lunar surface, shortly after the 'Rough Braking Phase' of the craft ended and it entered the 'Fine Braking Phase'.

The mission control of the premier space organisation tweeted from its official handle, confirming that scientists were at work analysing the data.

Earlier at 1:49 AM, ISRO had said that the Chandrayaan-2 had entered the Fine Braking Phase as scheduled, signalling a normal progression of events.

The Vikram Lander successfully separated from Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter on September 2. The Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter continues to orbit the Moon in its existing orbit.

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag also applauded Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for their big efforts while stating that the morale is still high and the future will bring more success. 

After ISRO's announced that the communication has been lost with 'Vikram Lander', Sehwag in a tweet said, "Khwaab Adhoora raha par Hauslein Zinda hain, ISRO woh hai, jahaan mushkilein Sharminda hain. Hum Honge Kaaamyab "Chandrayan2" (The dream remains unfulfilled but the morale is alive. ISRO will surpass all troubles. We will be successful).
