Wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson has finally been named in the starting 11 of Team India's third and final T20I of the three-match series against Sri Lanka at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Friday (January 10).

Fans were absolutely delighted to see Samson get his chance at an expense of Rishabh Pant, who has been dropped from the playing 11 for the final game.

The southpaw's form with the bat, wicket-keeping skills and his suggestion to skipper over DRS calls have all been below average and has caused a lot of people to raise fingers towards his selection in the Indian side.

Fans have been urging the team management to give Sanju a chance in the national side and his time has finally come today.

Samson last played for the "Men In Blue" in a T20I match back in 2015 and has since then failed to find a spot in Virat's starting XI despite being in top form in domestic cricket.

Going into this match, India has a 1-0 lead after emphatically defeating the visitors in Indore by 7 wickets earlier on Tuesday (January 7).
