The outstanding performances by skipper Chamari Athapaththu and Harshita Samarawickrama led Sri Lanka to a historic victory over India by eight wickets, securing their first-ever Women's Asia Cup title.

Despite chasing a target of 166 runs, Sri Lanka faced an early setback with the loss of a wicket. However, Chamari's brilliant innings of 61 runs off 49 balls turned the tide in their favor. Harshita then played a match-winning unbeaten knock of 69 runs off 51 balls, guiding her team to victory with eight balls to spare. Additionally, Kavisha Dilhari contributed a quickfire 30 not out off 16 balls to the team's success.

The seven-time champions, India, were unable to secure their eighth title, as Sri Lanka emerged victorious in a thrilling final match.
