In Monday's top Sports News (February 10, 2020), we have the International Cricket Council (ICC) investigating the ugly on-field spat between India and Bangladesh players after the U19 World Cup final match.

Bangladesh defeated India in the final of the U19 World Cup to secure their maiden ICC title at Senwes Park.

However, the celebrations took an ugly turn when Bangladesh players started sprinting in and running wildly towards the center after the winning run off Atharva Ankolekar.

In Kabaddi, despite no permission, a contingent from India is said to have reached Lahore on Saturday via the Wagah Border to take part in the World Kabaddi Championship.

The championship is being hosted by Pakistan for the first time. All the six previous editions of the World Kabbadi Championship took place in India between 2010 and 2019.

The 2020 U19 World Cup final witnessed an ugly ending when Bangladeshi players got involved in a physical on-field spat with the Indian players on Sunday (February 9) at Senwes Park. The Bengal cubs defeated India by three wickets (DLS method) to lift their maiden ICC title.

The arrival of an ‘Indian team’ in Pakistan for the World Kabaddi Championship has sparked a debate after the sports ministry and the national federation claimed to have not granted permission to any team to travel to the neighbouring country. India have won all six championships, defeating Pakistan in 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014 editions.

3. India vs New Zealand: Kane Williamson to lead Kiwis in third ODI

Young cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal's surging innings was not enough in the end as India lost to Bangladesh by three wickets (DLS method) in the final of the U19 World Cup. Jaiswal was the only stand out performer with the bat for India as he smashed 88 runs off 121 balls as the Boys in Blue kept losing wickets at key intervals.
