ICSE, ISC Exam 2021: Important updates class 10, 12 students must know

CISCE Board Exam 2021: After the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and most state boards have cancelled or postponed the Board exams, all eyes are now on the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) to announce a decision on the Board exams 2021.

Going by the trend, it seems that CISCE too would cancel the class 10 exams, however, an official statement is awaited. For class 12 exams, a postponement is more likely. 

The decision on ICSE, ISC Exams 2021 is expected to be released soon. CISCE board might take a decision in line with the CBSE board exams 2021. The class 10 exams might get cancelled while the class 12 exams may get postponed. However, there has been no official update regarding the postponement of the exams. Students are advised to keep a check on the official website of CISCE on ICSE, ISC Exams 2021 latest updates.

As per the current schedule, the ICSE or Class 10 exam would begin on May 4 and would end on June 7, while ISC or Class 12 exam would begin on April 8 and would end on June 18, 2021.

How did CISCE allot marks in 2020?

In 2020, CISCE had to cancel board exams and had adopted a unique assessment scheme to promote students. CISCE​’s assessment scheme included three parameters — (i) an average of a student’s best three papers marks in CISCE board examination, (ii) subject project, and (iii) percentage of subject internal assessment for class 10 or project and practical work for class 12. If exams are postponed, something similar is expected this year too.
