Sources said that the NEET 2021 might get postponed from its scheduled August 1 date due to prevailiing coronavirus situation in the country.
In a good news for lakhs of students waiting for the announcement of JEE Main 2021, NEET 201 entrance exams dates, soures said that the Union Education Ministry would soon declare the schedule for the two remaining editions of the engineering entrance examination JEE Main 2021 and the medical entrance test NEET 2021 in August.
According to a PTI report, the officials at Education Ministry are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation across the country and it is likely that the JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021 entrance exam would be held on August 1.
It is to be noted that JEE Main is held four times in a year from the current academic session. The first phase was conducted in February and it was followed by the second phase in March. The next phases were scheduled for April and May but these were cancelled due to a sudden surge in COVID-19 cases across the country.
JEE Advanced 2021 exam, which is conducted for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and the National Institutes of Technology (NIT), was also postponed due to coronavirus pandemic. The exam was scheduled on July 3.
On the other hand, with just about 45 days left for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - UG (NEET) 2021 exam, students are a worried lot as the National Testing Agency is yet to release the application forms for NEET 2021 entrance exam.
Sources said that the NEET 2021 entrance exam might get postponed from its scheduled August 1 date due to prevailining coronavirus situation in the country.
NEET is held to select candidates for admission to undergraduate medical and dental programmes.
List of documents needed:
1. Scanned image of the passport size photograph of the candidate
2. Scanned image of the signature of the candidate
3. Scanned image of the left-hand thumb impression of the candidate
4. Scanned image of the Class 10 certificate of the candidate
5. Scanned image of postcard size photograph of the candidate
NEET 2021: Application Process
NEET-UG 2021 application will be accepted in online mode only at www.ntaneet.nic.in. The NEET 2021 application form in any other mode will not be accepted.
Age limit
Those applying for NEET-UG 2021 must have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before December 31, 2021. The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as of on the day of examination. The students of reserved categories get relaxation of 5 years in terms of the upper age limit.
