Karnataka CET Exam 2021: BIG update about exam dates here

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) examination dates for several vocational courses, including engineering, have been announced and it will now be conducted on August 28 and 29.

Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwath Narayan, during a press conference, on Tuesday, in Bengaluru, said, "The CET exam will take place on August 28 and 29. Each subject will carry 60 marks." 

Reports state that Maths and Biology exams will be held on the first day while Physics and Chemistry on the second day. Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwath Narayan also said that the registration will commence from June 15 and the PUC marks will not be taken into account.

As for the lockdown extension in the state, Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwath Narayan also said that CM BS Yediyurappa will decide on what measures to take in this regard, by taking everyone into confidence

He said, "He (Chief Minister) is likely to call a meeting (with experts, Ministers, and officials), in a day or two, during which all aspects will be discussed and the outcome will be made known. In most of the districts, other than a few, the numbers have come down. We will also have to ensure that the cases don't increase again, it will also be looked into."

On Monday, Karnataka reported 11,958 fresh cases and 340 fatalities. The fresh rise in infections and deaths took the tally to over 27 lakh and the toll to 31,920.
