Cracking the UPSC Civil Services Exam is undoubtedly a tough task. One such person who achieved this feat is IAS Manuj Jindal, who secured the All India 53rd rank. Manuj Jindal is a 2017 batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre.

He was also an NDA cadet, where he secured the All India 18th rank in the UPSC NDA exam. He originally belongs to Ghaziabad, and moved to a school in Dehradun for his education. At the age of 18, he cracked the NDA exam.

During his training, he performed excellently in the first term. However, in the second term, he struggled with anxiety and depression. Due to his deteriorating condition, the academy decided to disqualify him from the course.

After this setback, Manuj decided to study abroad and completed his graduation from the University of Virginia. He received an offer from Barclays, where he worked for three years with a good salary package. Later, he decided to return to India, where his younger brother was preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Exam. Inspired, Manuj also started preparing for the exam and appeared in 2014. He cleared the first two stages - prelims and mains - but could not make it to the final list.

Despite this, Manuj did not give up. In his second attempt, he cleared the exam but was placed in the reserve list. Finally, in his third attempt in 2017, he passed the exam, and secured the All India 53rd rank.

Manuj Jindal's journey is a true inspiration, showing that with hardwork and determination, one can overcome any obstacle.
