The NTA shared that 6.80 lakh students have registered for JEE Main April 2021 till now and 6.09 lakh candidates have registered for the May session.
Former Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank', on Tuesday, had announced the new dates for JEE Main (April and May) sessions for 2021. The remaining sessions of JEE Main 2021 will be held from July 20 to 25 (third session) and July 27 to August 2 (fourth session).
These exams were earlier going to be held in April and May but were delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic-induced lockdown. The registration window is open for candidates at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The aspirants need to know that if they want to apply for the April session then they will be able to do that today i.e. July 8. On the other hand, JEE Main (May) session registrations will be open from July 9 to July 12. Candidates will also be able to change their exam centres.
According to the information that the National Testing Agency (NTA) shared, 6.80 lakh students have registered for JEE Main April 2021 till now and 6.09 lakh candidates have registered for the May session.
The registration number is expected to go higher as the application windows have been reopened for both April and May sessions. For the unversed, the first session of JEE Main 2021 was conducted from February 23-26. The second session was then conducted from March 15 to 18.
Application fee for JEE Main 2021
The application fee for JEE Main exam is Rs 650 for general category students. For students from reserved categories and female candidates, the registration fee is Rs 325.

Students applying for NTA JEE Main 2021 exam should follow these steps for registration.
Step 1: Visit the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the 'registration link' on the homepage
Step 3: Fill the application form
Step 4: Make the payment
Step 5: Confirm submission and take a printout for further references
Students who wish to apply for the April session can apply from July 6 to July 8. JEE Main (May) session registrations will be open from July 9 to July 12.
