Who is Mathias Boe? Here's all we know about Taapsee Pannu's rumoured boyfriend

Not many knew that actress Taapsee Pannu was reportedly dating badminton player Mathias Boe until recently when he made a cameo in one of her spoof videos, 'biggini shoot', which she shot during her vacation Maldives. And soon after he did make an appearance, the news of Taapsee dating Mathias had spread like fire. The duo have neither publicly ever accepted or denied being with each other. However, photos of the two spending quality time together have been shared on Boe's social media handle. 

In this photograph, Mathias, while sharing it on his Instagram account hinted at being lucky to find someone who didn't think he was annoying. He captioned the pictures while wishing Taapsee a happy birthday, "Happy birthday you crazy little creature, damn we r getting old fast, especially u . Can’t believe how lucky I’m that I found someone who don’t find me too annoying and (sometimes) laugh at my lame jokes. I will try my hardest to keep u smiling (sic)."

Born on 11 July 1980, Mathias is a renowned badminton player from Denmark. Reportedly, Boe started playing badminton when he was just six in Odense (the third-largest city in Denmark) and it is said that his family had a huge influence on him since his parents were badminton players too. However, earlier this year the badminton ace announced his retirement. In his career spanning two decades, he partnered with the likes of Michael Jensen, Thomas Hovgaard among others.

Not many would know that Mathias Boe is the coach of Pune 7 Aces, a franchise badminton team based out of Pune and owned by actress Taapsee Pannu and KRI Entertainment. The team plays at the Premier Badminton League. 

From winning the gold medal at 2015 European Games, being a two-time winner of European champions in 2012 and 2017 to bagging a silver at the 2012 summer Olympics and 2013 World Championships and being a member of the Denmark team while it won the 2016 Thomas cup in Kunshan, China, Mathias Boe has several awards and wins to his credit.
