20 Years of 'Kandukondain Kandukondain': Heartwarming moments from Mammootty, Ajith, Tabu, Aishwarya's musical film
As Mammootty, Ajith, Tabu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abbas starrer 'Kandukondain Kandukondain' clocks 20 years of its release, makers take a trip down memory lane.
A couple of days back, hit Tamil film Kandukondain Kandukondain completed 20 years of its release. The film based on Jane Austen's novel Sense and Sensibility had a stupendous star cast including Mammootty, Ajith, Tabu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abbas. Directed by Rajiv Menon, the film released on May 5, 2020, and had beautiful songs composed by AR Rahman. Now as Kandukondain Kandukondain clocked 20 years, the makers remembered the filming of the movie.
Rajiv shared a sweet video featuring Mammootty, Ajith, Tabu, Aishwarya and Abbas where they all are seen in white. He wrote, "Grateful to the dynamic cast and crew that brought this film to life! The timeless melodies by @arrahman and penned by #Vairamuthu. Thank you to the audiences all around the world that have made this film stand the test of time with their endearing love. Truly humbled! While BBC's Ashanti Omkar posted a collage and captioned it stating, "Memories of the epic #janeausten #senseandsensibility #Tamil adaptation #kandukondainkandukondain by @dirrajivmenon in & around #eileendonancastle in #scotland where the title song by @arrahman was shot. Today marks 20 years since it opened in the UK, & I travelled far, to watch it in an independent cinema at 11 pm!
