After Hours picks the good, the bad and the ugly of music videos doing the rounds

Song: ‘Tere Bin’

Video: You can’t miss this track with Pakistani crooner Atif Aslam (ex Jal member) rendering the soulful ‘Tere Bin’ for the film ‘Bas Ek Pal’. Looks like this one’s going to be a hit like ‘Aadat’ (‘Kalyug’) with people already humming along every time it plays on air.

Watch out for: There is a certain melancholy in his voice that moves you. The melody is simple and hummable. Atif is also quite a hit amongst women.

Our verdict: A much-needed break from the filmy Himesh Reshammiya numbers.

<Song: ‘Chak De Phattey’

Video: This video from the film ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ features Anupam Kher, Parveen Dabbas and Boman Irani who are absolute put-offs with their very unsuccessful attempts to be ‘cool’. It’s so full of gibberish - you won’t watch a second time.

Watch out for: The extras matching steps with Parveen Dabbas.

Our verdict: Boman and Anupam are fabulous comedians but in this video they’re a cheap imitation of what they’re capable of.

<Song: ‘Say Tu Disdda’.

Video: This video features Rakhi Sawant wearing a very skimpy nurse’s outfit and strutting down the corridors of a hospital, sometimes breaking into a jig. It whipped up a controversy when nurses protested against what they thought was a vulgar representation of their profession.

Watch out for: The ugly looking male model ogling the ‘nurses’.

Our verdict: The song has been overshadowed by a senseless video. It’s garish, vulgar and a complete waste of time!
