For his fourth film Munna Michael, Tiger Shroff is being paired with his fourth new leading lady, Nidhhi Agerwal. Before her, the other leading ladies to give Tiger company were Kriti Sanon (Heropanti), Shraddha Kapoor (Baaghi) and Jacqueline Fernandez (A Flying Jatt). This makes Tiger one of the rare newcomers to find a new leading lady for each of his films.
However, when it comes to this feat, he is not competing with other newcomers like Varun Dhawan or Sidharth Malhotra. Instead, he has Arjun Kapoor for competition.
“Arjun Kapoor wears the crown for this truly rare feat. He has done eight films so far and in each of these films, he has found company with a different leading lady,” comments an observer (see box).
“Now compare this to the rest of the young ones who couldn’t really enjoy a similar streak,” the observer adds, “Varun’s streak was broken after he paired up with Alia Bhatt twice (first in Student Of The Year, then in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania). Sidharth Malhotra, like Varun, was paired with Alia in SOTY, but his streak was broken four years later, when he was paired with her again in Kapoor & Sons.”
“Call it coincidence but in an industry which has a dearth of promising boys and girls, you end up working with the same set of heroes or heroines sooner or later. In that aspect, Arjun is clearly on top with eight heroines in eight films. However, Tiger is next with four heroines in four films.”
“It would be quite a task for him though to beat this record. Where exactly does one find four more heroines for him in his next set of films? Chances are, he would start Baaghi 2 next and unless there is a new heroine added to the cast, he would continue to have Shraddha Kapoor opposite him. Moreover, Arjun Kapoor has already moved on to his ninth new heroine, Ileana D’Cruz for Mubarakan which makes it all the more difficult for Tiger to catch up,” an industry insider comments.
Well, now that would be some feat to even match, let alone beat!
