I am not a good dancer: Rishi Kapoor

His Om Shanti Om act in 1980 Subhash Ghai's Karz made him the heart-throb of millions and inspired Farah Khan and Himesh Reshammiya to recreate the magic through their films but veteran actor Rishi Kapoor says he has never been a good dancer.
       
Kapoor is all set to appear in a new character in Vivek Sharma's film Kal Kissne Dekha, which marks the entry of two new faces in Bollywood this year--producer Vasu Bhagnani's son Jackky Bhagnani and Manmohan Desai's grand niece Vaishali Desai.

"I have worked with many newcomers and Jackky and Vaishali are very hardworking. Jackky is a very good dancer. He reminds me of my young days in the film industry," said Rishi Kapoor, who was in Bangkok to shoot some sequences of the film along with other unit members.

The shooting of the film is almost complete and it is slated to release on April 3.
       
When asked about his opinion on Jackky's dancing style as a dancer himself, Kapoor said, "I was never a good dancer. When I see the dance scenes in today's films, I wonder how they do it. Thank God we did not have to dance like that in old days, otherwise I would have definitely broken some bones.

"Jackky is very natural in his style and has obviously worked hard. I think he is going to make his mark with this film," he added.

The film revolves around a young man Nihal Singh (Jackky Bhagnani), who hails from a small town and comes to Mumbai with big dreams in his eyes but his ability to sense future becomes a problem for him.

Rishi Kapoor is in the character of a professor in the film, who becomes the guru of Nihal Singh and guides him.

"My character and the role in this film is very fascinating. I am sporting some more white hair on my head. Vivek has given me a new look in the film," he added.

Jackky Bhagnani, who is making his maiden journey with the film, confessed that he was nervous to act with Rishi, "I was very scared to work with Rishiji on my first day but things became normal and he helped me a lot."
       
When asked about the competition with Rishi Kapoor's son Ranbir, who made his entry with Saawariya in 2007, the young debutante said, "Ranbir has already proved himself while I am just beginning and industry is big enough to accommodate new talent. I am just trying to create a small space for myself here."
       
Before making his acting debut with Kal Kissne Dekha, Jackky assisted his producer father in films like Deewanapan and Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein to learn the other aspects of filmmaking.
       
Producer Vasu Bhagnani is leaving no stone unturned to make a smooth launchpad for his son. Some renowned faces like Sanjay Dutt, Juhi Chawla, Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan are expected to do cameo appearances in the film.
