Actor Shruti Seth’s bold act in her last film has got her tons of offers that require her to go ‘bold’.
Actor Shruti Seth decided to go bold and sexy in Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti and the move has certainly paid off well for her with her garnering rave reviews for her performance.
However, the actor says that it took lot of deliberation from her part to break away from her set image of a demure, girl-next-door to that of a conniving girl who is ready to seduce men for political mileage.
Shruti has flaunted her hot body and has even done a rather intimate scene with Arjun Rampal in which he practically forces himself on her.
Shruti believes it was a risk well-taken. “I have got a lot of congratulatory messages and my performance has been liked. As an actor I was looking to do my job but yes, I was very apprehensive to break away from my already established image. I had to do a bold scene and even play a mercilessly selfish human being. I have never played such a strongly evil character and I do not relate to her at all. But I took it up as a challenge as I thought that if not now, then maybe never,” the young actor says.
Shruti also confirms the rumours that she is tying the knot with her Break Ke Baad director Danish Aslam whom she had met on the sets of Kunal Kohli’s Fanaa starring Aamir Khan and Kajol.
“I have indeed met my man and I have been engaged to him for quite some time now. We are getting married at the end of this year. It’s a great phase of my life,” she says.
Tell her that in today’s generation no one keep blinkers on even in case they are committed and she shoots, “I agree completely. After some years maybe the magic dies down but one has to be loyal in a relationship. It’s difficult not to look at an attractive man or a woman and it’s completely understandable. But my partner only has the right to look and not touch,” she laughs.
