Glamour model Katie Price a.k.a Jordan's perfumes have been ditched by retail chain Superdrug after it was reported that Indian workers making the bottles were paid just 2.05 pounds a day.

The fragrances called 'Stunning' and 'Besotted' were being bottled at the Pragati factory in Gujarat. The labourers were getting paid below India's minimum wage, reports the Sun.

Glassworkers should earn at least £2.25 a day.

According to experts, a daily wage of Rs141 does not even properly cover the cost of food.

Superdrug sold Jordan's perfumes at £19.99 for a 50ml bottle plus gift sets.

"We have a robust ethical trading policy," spokeswoman Sara Wolverson said.

Jordan spokesman, however, said that the contract with Indian company was withdrawn and the production has been switched to UK.
