Rati Agnihotri rides a bike again

Rati Agnihotri who rode a motorbike in Amitabh Bachchan starrer Coolie, will be once again seen riding a bike for her upcoming film Dehradhun Diary. Directed by  Millind Ukey, the film is based on a true incident and revolves around a controversial murder case starring Adhyayan Suman and Ragini Nandwani.

Says Millind, “While shooting a bike riding sequence, we had informed Rati that a body double will be used as we did not want to take any risk with her. But to our surprise Rati said that she would like to ride the bike herself and there was no need for a body double.” The scene required Rati to ride the bike with her son riding pillion. When the shot was called, the entire unit was surprised to see how comfortably Rati was driving the bike. Actor Rohit who plays her son in the movie was taken aback as she rode the bike like an expert. Mahendra Verma who was the action director of Coolie was also present on the sets to overlook and support Rati doing the bike sequence in our film.

As for Rati, she reveals she wasn’t scared at all. “On the contrary, it was a cakewalk for me. I had learnt bike riding during Coolie so I had great fun riding it.”
