'Rock On 2' suffered but some sacrifices are required: Arjun Rampal supports demonetisation

The demonetisation policy initiated by Narendra Modi has definitely affected the collections of the latest release Rock On!! 2. The Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor starrer will face tremendous losses at the box office. The film has only managed to put up a meagre Rs 1.75 crore on day 1 and it's not even funny. 

Amid all this hullabaloo, Rock On 2 cast member Arjun Rampal has broken his silence and said something exactly opposite to what would expect him to say at the moment. At a time his film is being termed a disaster, he has gone out and supported PM Modi's initiative.

He said, "Of course there’ll be chaos but believe it was an IMPORTANT decision; there was no other way but to announce suddenly. The backbone of people who stash black money; involved in drug trafficking, terror funding are broken or at least injured due to this."

Adding on, Rampal told media, "Producer of my film Rock On & the film has suffered because of this as well but sometimes you have to make some sacrifice. I believe & hope that this decision is beneficial in long run; it’s the time when we must stand together and support Govt’s decision."

We wonder if the Rock On 2 team will be happy with this statement!
