This Malayalam movie was a hit recently. And now it's all set to be made in Tamil. The latest news is that Pramod Films (late Pramod Charavorty's banner) has acquired the Tamil remake rights of the recent Charlie starring Dulquer Salman and Parvathy.
Sources have revealed that there are three actors who are being considered for Dulquer's role - Siddharth, Vijay Sethupathi and Sivakarthikeyan. It looks like all three of them have seen Charlie and like the film but one wonders who will bag the role finally. As for the female lead, Parvathy is likely to be the first choice for the Tamil version as well as she did a fabulous job in the Malayalam film.
The Tamil remake will be produced by Prateek Chakravorty (grandson of Pramod Chakravorty) and co-produced by Shruti Nallappa. Many Malayalam movies are now being remade in other languages. Premam is being remade in Telugu but is still running successfully in Chennai in Malayalam for over 250 days.
