Simbu has not made a public appearance since the ‘Beep song’ controversy broke out and police case was registered against him. Meanwhile, his father T Rajendar has been fervently praying at various temples for his legal troubles to go away.

Former South Indian Artistes Association or Nadigar Sangam President Sarathkumar and his wife Radhikaa have accused the Nadigar Sangam of not supporting the troubled actor.

However, the current Nadigar Sangam office-bearers have tried to mediate with Simbu and his family and failed to reach any agreement. Nasser has stated that unless Simbu apologises for the lewd lyrics they would be unable to back him. But Simbu will continue to be a member of the Nadigar Sangam.
