PUBG Mobile India latest updates: Parent company Krafton hires more people in India

PUBG Mobile India’s grand relaunch for the New Year has gotten stalled with the government stating that no permission has been given specifically to PUBG for re-entry back into India. On the other hand, PUBG’s parent company Krafton is also taking various pro-India steps to make sure that PUBG Mobile comes back to India. 

The company had recently appointed a new country manager for India just two days ago. Now, if reports are to be believed, more people have been added to the team.

According to an Inside Sport report, Krafton Inc has added more people to the team. The team now includes Akash Jumde who has been appointed as the Visual Content Designer, Piyush Agarwal as the Finance Manager, Arpita Priyadarshini is the Senior Community Manager and Karan Pathak is appointed as the Senior Esports Manager.
 
These new appointments come after Aneesh Aravind was appointed as the country manager on Tuesday. These new appointments seem to suggest that PUBG Mobile India is working behind the scenes to ensure that the launch of the game is not delayed too long, with FAU-G (Fearless and United Guards) set to be launched soon.
 
The report adds that the newly recruited people were earlier a part of Tencent. 

The ban in the Indian market in September 2020 has not dented PUBG Mobile as it became the top mobile game worldwide in terms of revenue in 2020. 
 
According to one official in the government, PUBG Mobile India had tried to create a base for a mega-launch around the year-end but such is the situation that it will not be possible before March 2021. PUBG Mobile Corporation has been trying to have a meeting with Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) for the last four weeks but there has been absolutely no progress on the matter. However, the meeting might not even be granted due to the government protocols regarding this matter.

While PUBG Mobile India continues to be stalled, PUBG Global continues to dominate the choices of gamers with the release of a new Beta 1.2 global version. The game is slightly risky to download as one has to ensure that the phone is compatible and that downloading from unknown sources is made available. The space needed for PUBG Mobile Global is 625 MB. One might have a parsing problem but that can be resolved by once again downloading the package.
