Birthday Special: From 'Dunkirk' to 'Venom', why does Tom Hardy always hide his face in movies? No, it's not mask fetish

In Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk, Tom Hardy played the role of Farrier, a pilot who assumes command after the leader is shot down in a dogfight. His role is considered as one of the best in the war film released in 2017. As he played the role of an air force pilot, Tom had covered his face in most of the film until its climax.

In Mad Max: Fury Road, Tom Hardy was seen as Max Rockatansky who dons a caged mask while joining the forces with Charlize Theron's character Imperator Furiosa. The post-apocalyptic action film is helmed by George Miller and released in 2015.

In Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, Tom Hardy played the main antagonist Bane, a mysterious man who sets up is base in the sewers of Gotham City. Hardy hardly showed his face in the movie by covering it with a mask which is also for the administering anaesthetic gas through tubes in his body. If the mask gets damaged, it can unleash his pain. 

In Alejandro González Iñárritu directorial The Revenant, Tom Hardy donned a huge beard covering most of his face. Yes, we can't complain as he was cold. Hardy played the role of John Fitzgerald in the 2015 film.

This Marvel movie doesn't need an introduction in which Tom Hardy played the titular role. An investigative journalist Eddie Brock becomes a host of an alien symbiote and becomes a super-human. The Venom face is indeed scary which hid the pretty face of Hardy in the film.
