Among the major highlights so far:
* Babul Supriyo's car has been vandalised by locals in Baraboni, Asansol. Later he was seen having a hostile conversation with the presiding officer. EC has sought report of the entire incident,
* Zee Media car attacked in Asansol.
*Central forces shot blanks in Dubrajpur located in Birbhum district. It happened after there was an argument regarding use of mobile phones. Birbhum TMC District President Anubrata Mondal though has claimed that central forces were supporting BJP and TMC cadres opposed that and guns were used after that.
* Anubrata Mondal's appeal to get rid of strict EC watch has been turned down by Calcutta HC. The judge said that EC has done it to ensure peaceful election and hence it is valid.
* Birbhum's BJP candidate Dudhkumar Mondal showcaused for speaking on phone inside polling booth in Mayureshwar. The presiding officer of the booth has been removed.
*EC seeks report of what happened in Baraboni. They have asked for details of what Babul was doing inside the booth.
* Clash between TMC and BJP in Nanur. BJP women supporters had a clash with TMC workers of the area. 1 TMC worker has been injured.
* In Jemua located in Durgapur region, voters refused to participate in the election without the presence of central forces. This lead to chaos and political clashes started . To bring the situation under control, police had to report to lathicharge. EC has asked for report of the entire matter.
*Live bombs have been recovered near a polling booth in Shantipur.
1. Babul Supriyo's car attacked
Babul Supriyo's car was attacked when he went to take stock of situation in Baraboni area of Asansol, his Lok Sabha constituency. There were reports that BJP polling agents were not being allowed to sit inside the booth and Babul rushed to the spot. There he faced angry TMC workers who alleged that BJP men have atttacked them. Babul's car was vandalised in the processs.
Later Babul was seen aggressively talking to the presiding officer regarding what is going on in that booth.
