Hyderabad: Two brothers drown in water tank

Two boys, who decided to go swimming in a water tank, drowned on Monday. The brothers - Pavan (16) and Pranith (13) of Bansilapet – went to the Chennapuram tank in Hydeabad without informing their parents, The Hindu reports.

The boys were accompanied by a relative Hemanth who watched the boys playing in the water. The two brothers apparently didn’t know how to swim but decided to venture in and ended up drowning, says the report.

Hemanth saw them drowning and ran back to inform his father, Shanganti Kumar. However, by the time they came back with the police the boys had drowned. The report adds that the police have shifted the bodies to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
