At a public event in Telangana on Saturday, Asaduddin Owaisi, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), stated that since 2021, terrorists from Pakistan have killed over 50 Indian soldiers. He asked why the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) isn't taking Pakistan's name now.

"More than 50 of our soldiers were killed by terrorists from across the border. Even today we have lost a soldier at the LoC. Why isn't the BJP taking the name of Pakistan now?" said Asaduddin Owais, as quoted by PTI.

"The attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda... Doda is way too far from the LoC, how did the terrorists reach there? The BJP, however, isn't talking about this," the Hyderabad MP said.

Owaisi's comments coincide with an increase in terror-related occurrences in Jammu and Kashmir, a part of the Union. In the Kamakari sector of J&K's Kupwara district on Saturday, the Indian Army stopped an attack by Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT), killing one soldier and wounding four others, including a captain.

According to sources who spoke to ANI, the Centre has ordered the transfer of more than 2,000 Border Security Force (BSF) members from Odisha to the unstable Jammu and Kashmir area near the Pakistani border.

Amit Shah, the union home minister, presided over a high-level gathering on July 20 that included the chiefs of several security and law enforcement organisations, including the BSF.

All of the participants were strongly encouraged by Shah to become more involved in the MAC and turn it into a unified forum that unites law enforcement, anti-drug, cyber security, and intelligence organisations for swift and decisive action.

Manoj Sinha, the lieutenant governor of J&K, gave an assurance on Thursday that things in the UT will return to normal in a few months.

"Those who cannot digest (the peaceful atmosphere here), they should be (ready) for their end. People here have given a befitting response to them before also. The situation demands so. I think the situation will be back to normal again in a few months," Sinha was quoted by PTI as saying.
