The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express was cancelled on Tuesday due to water-logging on railway tracks as heavy rains lashed Mumbai through the night.
Both up and down Shatabdi Express between Mumbai and Ahmedabad were cancelled, Western Railway said. "Train No. 12009 and 12010 of 10.07.18 has been cancelled due to water-logging at Nallasopara," it said in a tweet.
Earlier, it said that the power supply of Mumbai-Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express was switched off as a precautionary measure.
The train would be brought back to Mumbai Central station as soon as the water level recedes, Western Railway said.

As soon as the water recedes to a safe level, the train will be brought back to Mumbai Central. Suburban train services of the Western Railways were also hit after heavy rains lashed the city through the night. Traffic was suspended between Bhayander and Virar due to heavy water logging on tracks.
"Since last night, over 200 mm rainfall has been recorded. This has led to water-logging on railway tracks and keeping in view passengers' safety, train services have been stopped till the water level on the tracks recede," a railway official said.
Train services between Churchgate and Borivili were, however, normal.
He said that pumps are being used to drain out water from tracks.
"Services between Bhayander and Virar has been suspended due to heavy rains and water-logging. Trains between Bhayander and Churchgate are running on all lines," Western Railway said in a tweet.
"All catering stalls at stations have been asked to keep stock of food items available & close monitoring is being ensured at stations beyond Virar where trains are regulated. Arrangements have been made with the help of NGOs also for providing Snacks, water and Tea for passengers," it said.
