Here are the live updates on coronavirus in India.
The number of confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in India crossed 3,300 on Sunday with recorded 75 deaths, the government data showed.
As per data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 266 people have been cured of the disease and discharged.
With 490 cases and 24 deaths, Maharashtra is the most affected state in the country, followed by Delhi (445 cases, 6 deaths), Tamil Nadu (485 cases, 3 deaths), Kerala (306 cases, 2 deaths) and Uttar Pradesh (227 cases, 2 deaths), according to the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The data released by the Maharashtra government, however, put the number of affected people at 636. As many as 145 persons were confirmed to have coronavirus infection in Maharashtra on Saturday, an official statement said.
A statement released by the Public Health Department said six coronavirus patients died in the state on Saturday, taking the death toll to 32. On the other hand, 52 patients have recovered and have been discharged.
Of the total 635 coronavirus cases in the state, 377 were found in Mumbai, 77 in other parts of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and 82 in Pune.
