The South Eastern Railway Zone's Chakradharpur Rail Division is preparing to launch the Vande Bharat Express between Tatanagar and Patna. The Railway Board has indicated that an announcement about the new service will be made soon, and the preparations are in full swing.

Currently, three main trains operate on this route: the Ara-Durg South Bihar Express and the Tata-Buxar Express run daily, while the Bilaspur-Patna Express runs once a week. These trains take about 10 to 11 hours to cover the 496-kilometre distance between Tatanagar and Patna.

However, with the introduction of the Vande Bharat Express, this journey will be reduced to just 7 hours.

To support the new Vande Bharat Express, a maintenance centre is being rapidly constructed at the Tatanagar railway's sick line. Workers from various departments are involved in this task, which includes track repairs, traction facilities, and other necessary arrangements, according to reports.

This new service is expected to bring great relief to passengers by offering a faster and more comfortable travel option. The Vande Bharat Express promises to reduce travel time and improve amenities, making it a significant project for regional development and passenger convenience. The people travelling between Tatanagar and Patna will greatly benefit from this new service.
