"You have inspired us with your journey and look forward to future opportunities to explore our solar system together," NASA to ISRO on Chandrayaan-2.
Lauding the effort by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) attempt to explore moon's south pole region through its Chandrayaan-2 mission even though the landing of Vikram lander didn't go as expected and lost connection, NASA said ISRO has inspired them with its journey and they look forward to future opportunities to explore our solar system together.
Taking it to Twitter, NASA has said, "Space is hard. We commend @ISRO’s attempt to land their #Chandrayaan2 mission on the moon’s south pole. You have inspired us with your journey and look forward to future opportunities to explore our solar system together."

After revolving around the Earth's orbit for nearly 23 days, the craft began its journey to the moon on August 14. The mission took off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on July 22.
The Vikram lander successfully separated from Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter on September 2, however, ISRO didn't get results as they were expecting on its soft landing. Meanwhile, the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter continues to orbit the moon in its existing orbit and will keep exploring the celestial body for over 7 years.
Earlier, in his address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed ISRO's scientists saying that they live for the country and irrespective of setbacks the country's resolve to reach the moon has strengthened more.
Including NASA, countries including Bhutan, Russia, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Isreal, Mauritius, UAE, Thailand, US, Bulgaria and Vietnam have also extended their wishes to India and ISRO for Chandrayaan 2.
Hailing ISRO's effort, Prime Minister of Bhutan also took to his Twitter and said, "We are proud of India and its scientists today. Chandrayaan-2 saw some challenges last minute but the courage and hard work you have shown are historical. Knowing Prime Minister @narendramodi, I have no doubt he and his ISRO team will make it happen one day."
Thank you @PMBhutan. I am confident that with the good wishes of friends like yourself, the capabilities and ‘can-do’ spirit of our scientists; and the support of our people, Mission Chandrayaan will overcome all obstacles in reaching our target very soon. https://t.co/ttIlYLYxfz
