IPL 2020: 2 friends, two fifties as KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal put on 115 runs partnership

Two friends from Karnataka - KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal - led the Punjab side at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as the duo put on 115 runs partnership.

After KKR put on a target of 164, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) skipper KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal made sure to go smashing as they side needed a win desperately. While Mayank departed after scoring 56, Rahul was bowled for 74.

While KL Rahul reached his 19th IPL 50, this was Mayank's 7th half-century of the event.

The game also saw a thrilling end as Glenn Maxwell hit the ball high that one could not know if it was a four or a six. While KXIP needed six to take the game into Super Over, camera angles showed that the ball landed just inside the boundary hoardings. KKR won the clash by 2 runs. 

This is the sixth loss for KXIP off their seven games.
