When it comes to everyday fashion, men are not really that choosy… However, what they are is conscious of comfort. They don’t want to wear something that makes them feel out of place or not in sync with their personalities; and that is why bold prints, stripes and checks are always in fashion. DNA got model Tyson Khan to play macho in tartans, a style that is said to be coming back with a vengeance in the fashion scene this year.

Tyson, a fashion model from Bangalore, is currently also the Indian face of an international innerwear brand for men and is preparing for the big league. “I would like to work in the international scene,” he says.

Working on this specific column, Tyson says, “It was a pleasure to be part of this makeover. I didn’t think it would be this fun!”

Fix that hair
Most men who don’t keep cropped hair could benefit from this style a lot. A good hair wash and some hair gel to create spikes by hand is all Tyson did to add that slight rugged look to this appearance.

Some make up please
And while no man would step out on the road with make up, for the shoot, Robert Naorem gave Tyson a little colour to enhance his features, especially his cheek bones. A hint of base and darkened eye lids made Tyson look like one of those bad boys from a Western flick.

Accessorise me
This specific look calls for no accessories. However, Tyson chose his belt and shoes carefully. A pair of rugged black boots and a belt to go with it were all he wore to complete the entire ensemble.

Dress me up
Given that checks and tartans are always a favourite with men, Tyson slipped into a red tartan shirt picked up from Head Quarters. For the bottom, Tyson wore a pair of slightly stressed jeans that are quite the rage now.
