Vegas on my mind!

I went to Vegas recently and it was my most exciting show ever! Vegas is the hub of showbiz and I was invited to perform at the Venetian. We stayed at the Palazzo, the whole thing — from a stretch limo at our beck and call, to the Las Vegas boulevard and all its night-life on our door-step was a packed time. We went to the discos and pubs on the very first night there — fun!

The adventure starts
We visited The Grand Canyon by helicopter early the next morning and were treated to a champagne breakfast atop the Canyon where they land. This was number two on my bucket list. Being at the majestic Grand Canyon and the fort time in a chopper — fabulous! I saw the well-known Cirque de Soleil show called O. It was in water and I can’t even begin to describe the production and logistics magic of this one. I also went on roller coaster rides and adventure drops and shopped at the Canal shops till I dropped! The shops stay open till midnight on weekends, which is very convenient.

Out and about town
I ate at Wolfgang Puck’s Posterio — it was the best Italian I’ve had till date.
Then went to my favourite NYC and stayed on Times Square at the Doubletree Hilton and saw Chicago — the musical and Sex and the City 2. Here, I ate at the best breakfast joint ever called La Pan Qutodien. I like a variety of food and discovered great Thai at and some of the best guacamole at Dos Caminos in Soho. Trust me, you haven’t eaten guacamole until you’ve been here.

Barney’s is the best bet for shopping and I managed to pack in a lot. I also discovered the great Rick Owen — the fabulous designer and saw Usher. We were shopping together at Barney’s. There’s just so much one can do in Vegas. If I had to give travel advice it would be: get a personal shopper. You can go through floors quicker and having some one at your beck and call makes shopping quick, easy and fun and when you’re pressed for time.
