A funny slide by the fielder in the deep gets Pietersen his first boundary. He slid in the manner in which someone comes down a slide, not with his hands in front. Nice comic timing.

Rahane got out after scoring 21and du Plessis and Pietersen took over from there. They added 86 runs for the 2nd wicket before Pietersen got out after scoring 37. Wickets kept falling in the later half of the inning.
Jadeja was superb with the ball for Gujarat. He took 2 wickets for 18 runs from his 4 overs. Tambe took 2 wickets for 33 runs.

McCullum is on fire early on, as we thought he would be. 2 sixes in the last over, 18 off 8 balls so far. Gujarat have started beautifully with 27 scored off 3 overs.

Just 17 needed off 23 balls. Suresh Raina was stumped off the first ball of that over. But Gujarat are well and truly home. It is a commanding performance from them so far in this tournament. Both the batting and bowling are well oiled and there has been a collective team effort in both games.

Pune Supergiants were ahead for the first 35% of the game. They began to fall behind exactly in the 14th over of their innings. After that, apart from one over of Dhoni madness, it was all Gujarat Lions, who now have 2 wins in 2 games.

The commentary is atrocious. Sidhu was saying things like "Wo ball poora airhostess ho hello bolke aaya" and "Main jab subah 3:30 baje bathroom jaane utha....."

But after he leaves it does not improve. They are now discussing Bhima, Ghatotkach and some other mythological entities. This is embarrassing and we are sure the Hindi-speaking public deserve much better commentary standards.
