0.4 : 0.4: Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Jos Buttler, FOUR! Buttler is away with a boundary. Full and outside off, Jos has to reach out a bit but does well to middle his shot. He places it in the gap at covers and opens his account in style.
2.1 : 2.1: Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Jason Roy, FOUR! There you go, Jason Roy uses his feet and dismisses it. Fuller and around middle, Roy dances down the track and lofts it over mid on for a boundary, first from his bat.
2.6 : 2.6: Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Jason Roy, FOUR! A touch short and around off, Jason Roy shuffles across the stumps and nicely puts it away behind short fine leg for a boundary.
3.1 : 3.1: Mohammed Shami to Jos Buttler, FOUR! Jos Buttler copies the last shot from Roy and fetches a boundary for himself. The line is too straight and Buttler walks across to tickle it wide of short fine leg.
3.3 : 3.3: Mohammed Shami to Jos Buttler, FOUR! Boom! Full and on middle, right in the slot, Buttler shows the full face of the bat and whacks it straight down the ground.
3.4 : 3.4: Mohammed Shami to Jos Buttler, OUT! BOWLED 'EM! There is the retort from the bowler. Shami will be happy now after getting his revenge. Perhaps the slower one, on a length around off, Buttler decides to play late and guide it towards third man. But he is early into the shot and the ball beats his bat before disturbing the stumps.
4.3 : 4.3: Jasprit Bumrah to Dawid Malan, LUCKY FOUR! Jasprit Bumrah dishes out a terrific yorker, around off, Malan digs it out from the outer half of his bat and the ball scoots through the gap between Pant and first slip for a boundary.
4.5 : 4.5: Jasprit Bumrah to Dawid Malan, FOUR! Connects and connects well this time. On a length around off, slower in pace, Malan picks it and plays his shot a bit late. He leans and uses his beautiful hands to thump it through the gap at covers for a boundary.
5.3 : 5.3: Mohammed Shami to Jason Roy, OUT! CAUGHT! Shami gets his second wicket and he has now dismissed both the English openers. Honestly, this one was not a wicket-taking delivery. It's served on a length around middle and leg, there to be hit but Jason Roy miscues his attempted flick off the pads and sends it aerially to short fine leg. Jasprit Bumrah is alert there and takes the catch safely.
6.5 : 6.5: Ravichandran Ashwin to Dawid Malan, FOUR! Very well played. A top shot. Fuller this time, floated, around off, Dawid Malan makes room and lofts this one over covers for a one-bounce boundary.
7.2 : 7.2: Rahul Chahar to Jonny Bairstow, FOUR! Not the cleanest of shots but Jonny still finds the fence. Fuller, tossed up nicely, landing around off, Jonny Bairstow hits this off the lower end of the blade over Chahar and wide of the long off fielder for a boundary.
7.3 : 7.3: Rahul Chahar to Jonny Bairstow, FOUR! More control on this shot and another boundary is bagged. Some width offered outside off, floated again, Jonny Bairstow plays the inside-out shot beautifully over covers. One bounce and a boundary.
9.2 : 9.2: Rahul Chahar to Dawid Malan, OUT! TIMBER! A smile on Chahar's face and England lose their third. Rahul outfoxes Malan and the southpaw goes back for an 18-ball 18. Chahar serves a flighted googly, around leg and turning away, Dawid Malan makes room by shuffling to the leg side and thinks about lofting this one over the cover region. His thought was a good one, but the execution was not. He misses and the ball strikes the top of the off pole.
11.2: Rahul Chahar to Liam Livingstone, FOUR! Connects with it this time! Fuller, wider outside off, Liam Livingstone gets underneath this and smacks this over covers for a boundary.
11.5 : 11.5: Rahul Chahar to Liam Livingstone, FOUR! Liam Livingstone is finding the boundaries now! A drag down, short and sliding down the leg side, Liam Livingstone gets inside the line and pulls it behind square on the leg side. Boundary.
12.2 : 12.2: Ravichandran Ashwin to Jonny Bairstow, FOUR! Funky! Slightly shorter, outside off, Jonny Bairstow gets low, reverse-hits this past the short third man fielder and bags a boundary.

13.3 : 13.3: Rahul Chahar to Liam Livingstone, FOUR! Another boundary and Chahar is getting the treatment from Livingstone! Flatter, around middle and leg, easy work for Liam as he swivels and pumps this one towards deep square leg. It takes a bounce and goes past the ropes, but the umpire signals it as a biggie. One replay and the decision is changed to a four.
13.5 : 13.5: Rahul Chahar to Liam Livingstone, FOUR! Third boundary of the over and Liam Livingstone is amping it up! Fuller, around off, Liam Livingstone gives the full punch of the blade and whacks it through covers for a boundary.
14.3 : 14.3: Mohammed Shami to Jonny Bairstow, SIX! Stand and deliver! A biggie to bring up the 50-run stand between these two! In the slot around off, Jonny Bairstow stands tall and effortlessly smokes this one over long on.
14.5 : 14.5: Mohammed Shami to Liam Livingstone, OUT! BOWLED 'EM! What a way to respond from Shami. He has a knack of getting back at batters when things are going their way. He serves a perfect yorker, around off and middle, right in the blockhole, Liam Livingstone tries his best to dig this one out but it does not prove to be enough. The wickets behind are disturbed as the ball deflects off the pads. A good stand for the English Lions perishes.
15.4 : 15.4: Jasprit Bumrah to Jonny Bairstow, FOUR! Superb shot! Very full and outside off, Jonny Bairstow leans into the drive and caresses it square of the wicket on the off side. There is a sweeper cover in place but it's too far away from him to cut off. Brilliant timing and placement.

18.2 : 18.2: Jasprit Bumrah to Jonny Bairstow, OUT! TIMBER! That's an absolute jaffa from Jasprit Bumrah. An unplayable leg-stump yorker, landing right on the popping crease, Jonny Bairstow tries to keep it out but misses and finds the stumps disturbed. Great delivery to remove a set batsman from the crease. A handy knock nonetheless from Jonny.

4.5 : 4.5: Mark Wood to Ishan Kishan, SIX! Dispatched! Mark Wood changes his angle but it worked in favour of the left-hander. Short and around off, Kishan stands back and pulls it with the angle of the bowler. He connects and connects so well that the ball goes whistling over square leg for a maximum. Brute.
4.6 : 4.6: Mark Wood to Ishan Kishan, FOUR! Ishan Kishan is loving the pace offered by Mark Wood. Short in length and around off, Kishan rocks back and hammer-pulls it in front of square leg. The fielder in the deep dives near the fence but fails to cut it off. 16 from the over, 34 in the last two and India are on the charge.

Wood alters his length a bit and lands it outside off, Rahul once again attempts for a lofted shot but this time his bat turns in his hands and he ends up mistiming it over covers. Moeen Ali backtracks a bit and completes the catch just outside the circle. End of an 82-run opening stand and England would look to pick a few more wickets to get back into the match.
