Match over
2.5 : 2.5: Mohammed Siraj to Rohit Sharma, IN THE AIR AND JUST OVER! FOUR! Lucky escape for Rohit once again. The defending champions are riding their luck early on.  Good length delivery on off, the ball sticks on the surface as it comes to Rohit. The Mumbai captain looks to drive it on the up and luckily for him, he gets just enough. Jamieson at mid off, jumps with his tall frame. He gets his fingertips on it but it is not enough.
3.2 : 3.2: Yuzvendra Chahal to Chris Lynn, EDGED AND FOUR! Lynn is saved by a whisker here. Edgy way for Lynn to get his first run for Mumbai. Googly from Chahal. Lynn does not pick it up. He looks to punch it through cover but gets an inside edge which misses the stumps by a feather and runs fine to the fine leg fence.
3.4 : 3.4: Yuzvendra Chahal to Rohit Sharma, SIX! Lovely from Rohit. The Mumbai skipper gets the first biggie of the season just like he got the first boundary of the season. Tossed up delivery on middle and off. Rohit puts on his dancing shoes, comes down the track and lofts it wonderfully over long on for a biggie.
3.6 : 3.6: Yuzvendra Chahal to Chris Lynn, OUT! RUN OUT! A massive wicket for Bangalore as they have got the danger man, the Mumbai skipper, Rohit Sharma. Lynn, who has had a very nervy start, has made it even more difficult for himself. Getting your skipper, who was looking in decent touch run out in your debut outing for a new side is a big no-no. A poor mix-up and Rohit Sharma has to make the walk back. Flatter on off, Lynn punches it to the right of short cover. He calls for a run but then as so
4.1 : 4.1: Kyle Jamieson to Suryakumar Yadav, FOUR! New season, same old Suryakumar Yadav! He gets off the mark with a boundary, just like he did in his T20I debut.  Slightly behind the good length area on off, Suryakumar Yadav picks the length early and flicks it in calypso style over mid-wicket for a boundary.
5.2 : 5.2: Yuzvendra Chahal to Chris Lynn, SIX! Just over the long on fielder! This should give Lynn confidence! Tossed up on middle, Lynn uses his feet and then whacks it over long on for a biggie.
5.6 : 5.6: Yuzvendra Chahal to Suryakumar Yadav, FOUR! Poor delivery and Suryakumar Yadav says thanks! Shortish and outside off, Yadav punches it through the covers for a boundary. 41 for 1 at the end of the Powerplay.
6.3 : 6.3: Shahbaz Ahmed to Chris Lynn, FOUR! Fractionally short and Lynn cashes in! Slower and outside off, Lynn makes room and then thrashes it through extra cover for a boundary.
6.4 : 6.4: Shahbaz Ahmed to Chris Lynn, SIX! That went miles!  Lynn has started to look good now! Shortish on middle, Lynn goes back in his crease and then hammers it over long on for a maximum.
7.1 : 7.1: Harshal Patel to Chris Lynn, SIX! Lynnsanity makes full use of the Free Hit! Bangalore are leaking runs now after a good start! Good length ball around off, Lynn clears the front leg and then powers it over deep mid-wicket for a maximum.
7.4 : 7.4: Harshal Patel to Suryakumar Yadav, FOUR! Christian is disappointed as he knows he should have done better here! Short ball on middle, Yadav pulls it through mid-wicket. Christian comes running across from long on and dives but fails to stop it.
8.2 : 8.2: Dan Christian to Suryakumar Yadav, FOUR! That's cut away and it brings up the 50-run stand! Excellent partnership so far! Good length ball outside off, Yadav cuts it in between point and short third man for a boundary.
8.5 : 8.5: Dan Christian to Chris Lynn, FOUR! Another boundary in the over! Slower delivery outside off, Lynn waits for it and then thrashes it through extra cover. Sundar comes across and cleans it up. The umpires go upstairs to check if it is a clean save and the replays show that Sundar has touched the ropes with his foot before he let go off the ball.
10.4 : 10.4: Kyle Jamieson to Suryakumar Yadav, SIX! What a shot! This is a very Caribbean hit from Suryakumar Yadav! Fullish ball on off, Kumar comes inside his stumps and lifts his flick, effortlessly and elegantly over deep mid-wicket for a biggie.
10.6 : 10.6: Kyle Jamieson to Suryakumar Yadav, OUT! CAUGHT! Jamieson gets his first wicket in the league! The New Zealander has so far been the best bowler for Bangalore and he now has a wicket to show for it. Good comeback from the tall Kiwi. After being hit for a six he has come back very strongly to win the war against Suryakumar Yadav. Jamieson hits the deck hard and bowls it back of a length outside off. Suryakumar Yadav looks to slash it through the off side but Jamieson generates extra bounce
12.2 : 12.2: Washington Sundar to Chris Lynn, FOUR! Baseball hit from Lynn! Short and turning in from off. Lynn waits for it and flat-bats it with power through mid on for a boundary.
12.5 : 12.5: Washington Sundar to Chris Lynn, OUT! CAUGHT! Brilliant catch from Washington Sundar! Lynn departs on 49! A very good knock from Lynn but he will not get a fifty in his debut game for Mumbai. Washington Sundar strikes in his very first over and it is the end of Lynnsanity. It needed an athletic catch from Wahington Sundar and the man from Tamil Nadu has the athleticism to send the Australian back to the dug out.  Slightly shorter on middle, Lynn looks to flat-bat it straight over the bowl
13.3 : 13.3: Yuzvendra Chahal to Ishan Kishan, SIX! Kishan is a good player and he shows how good a player he is! Loopy ball outside off, Kishan dances down the track and then whacks it over the bowler's head for a maximum.
13.4 : 13.4: Yuzvendra Chahal to Ishan Kishan, FOUR! This is just superb batting from Kishan! Chahal is taking a beating at the moment! Quicker ball outside off, Kishan reaches for it and then plays it through backward point for a boundary.
14.2 : 14.2: Dan Christian to Hardik Pandya, FOUR! Cracking from Hardik! Full, a little too full from Christian. Hardik hits the ball ferociously straight down the ground. Dan Christian tries to get his hands to it and take the catch as it was hit uppishly but that was a finger breaker and the ball goes over his head for a boundary.
15.4 : 15.4: Harshal Patel to Hardik Pandya, FOUR! How well has Hardik played that? Beautifully! Good length ball outside off, Pandya just opens the face of the bat and guides it in between short third man and point for a boundary.
15.6 : 15.6: Harshal Patel to Hardik Pandya, OUT! LBW! All reds it is and Pandya has to go! Pandya misses out on a low full toss and he pays the price. Bangalore would be happy to see the back of Pandya as he can be very dangerous in the latter half of the innings. Harshal bowls a low full toss on middle, Pandya looks to flick but misses and gets hit on the pads. Bangalore appeal and up goes the finger. Pandya takes the review. The Ultra Edge shows nothing while the Ball Tracker shows that all reds. Ha
16.1 : 16.1: Mohammed Siraj to Ishan Kishan, FOUR! Siraj is not happy with Sundar there! He came in a little and it goes over him. Short of a length ball around middle, Kishan pulls it to deep square leg. Sundar runs ahead a little and then it goes over him. It seems that it has touched the ropes on the full. The third umpire checks it and tells that it bounced in front
17.4 : 17.4: Harshal Patel to Ishan Kishan, OUT! LBW! All reds it is and this looked plumb to the naked eye! Terrific bowling from Harshal Patel. Yorker on middle and leg, Kishan fails to dig it out and gets hit on the pads. There is an appeal for LBW but the umpire says no. Harshal Patel is convinced that he has got his man and convinces Kohli to take the review. The Ultra Edge rolls in and it shows nothing while the Ball Tracker shows that all reds.
18.3 : 18.3: Kyle Jamieson to Krunal Pandya, NO BALL AND FOUR! Nicely played! Runs crucial here for MumbaI! Short ball around middle, Pandya pulls it to the deep square leg region for a boundary. Free Hit will follow.
18.5 : 18.5: Kyle Jamieson to Kieron Pollard, TOP EDGE AND FOUR! Mumbai will take it! This was not a bad delivery at all but luck favours Pollard on this occasion! Short ball around off, Pollard looks to pull but it goes off the top edge and it flies over the keeper for a boundary.
19.1 : 19.1: Harshal Patel to Krunal Pandya, OUT! CAUGHT AT DEEP MID-WICKET! Good catch in the deep and Harshal Patel continues to impress! Slower ball around middle and leg, Pandya looks to go over deep mid-wicket but fails to get the timing right. It goes towards deep mid-wicket where Christian takes a comfortable catch. This has been a good performance at the death by Bangalore.
19.2 : 19.2: Harshal Patel to Kieron Pollard, OUT! CAUGHT! Another one bites the dust! Harshal Patel is doing a wonderful job here for Bangalore. Another slower ball around off, Pollard looks to go big but is early into the shot and mistimes it. Sundar gets into position at deep mid-wicket and takes a comfortable catch.
19.4 : 19.4: Harshal Patel to Marco Jansen, OUT! TIMBER! 5-fer for Harshal Patel! Tremendous performance from Patel! Wow, what a performance from the young man! Yorker on off, Jansen has no answers to this one as he fails to dig it out. And the ball rattles the timber behind.
19.6 : 19.6: Harshal Patel to Jasprit Bumrah, OUT! RUN OUT! What an end to the innings for Bangalore! They have come back really well. Full ball on middle, Bumrah works it down to long on. Chahar wants a couple but Bumrah is not interested. Kohli throws the ball to AB de Villiers who does the rest. MUMBAI END ON 159 F0R 9.
0.5 : 0.5: Trent Boult to Virat Kohli, EDGED AND FOUR! Kohli is off the mark! Good length ball on off, Kohli looks to flick but gets a leading edge which goes past mid off for a boundary.
2.2 : 2.2: Trent Boult to Virat Kohli, FOUR! What a shot that is from Virat Kohli! Stunning shot! Full ball outside off, Kohli crack it through extra cover for a boundary.
3.1 : 3.1: Marco Jansen to Virat Kohli, FOUR! Welcome to the Indian T20 League, Marco Jansen! Jansen starts with a short ball around middle, it does not rise as high enough. Kohli rocks back and then pulls it through square leg for a boundary.
3.4 : 3.4: Marco Jansen to Virat Kohli, FOUR! Well played! Bangalore are off to a very good start in the run chase! Short of a length down the leg side, Kohli swivels and then plays it over short fine leg for a boundary.
4.2 : 4.2: Krunal Pandya to Washington Sundar, OUT! CAUGHT AT SHORT THIRD MAN! Sundar was struggling at the crease. He was trying to hit the ball too hard and he perishes in the process. Shortish ball around off, Sundar looks to pull but the ball comes quicker to him. It takes the top edge and goes towards short third man where Chris Lynn takes the simplest of catches. 124 needed in 94 balls.
5.1 : 5.1: Trent Boult to Rajat Patidar, FOUR! Deft from Patidar! Delightful! Gets his first boundary in this league and this will do the world of good to his confidence. Good length ball outside off, Patidar waits for it and then places it fine towards third man for a boundary.
5.5 : 5.5: Trent Boult to Rajat Patidar, OUT! CHOPPED ON! Boult strikes in Powerplay once again. A sight way too common in world cricket. He continues his habit of picking up wickets in the first 6 overs of a T20 game.  Rajat Patidar, looked promising in his short stay at the crease but unfortunately, it is a short stay. Knuckle ball bowled on a length outside off. Patidar looks to defend it with a horizontal bat to the off side. It is too close to him and there is a lack of pace as well. The ball ta
7.1 : 7.1: Rahul Chahar to Glenn Maxwell, FOUR! Wow, that is some way to welcome a new bowler! Tossed up on middle, Maxwell goes on his knees and then reverse sweeps it over short third man for a boundary.
7.5 : 7.5: Rahul Chahar to Glenn Maxwell, FOUR! Magical! Maxwell is off to a start here! Tossed up on off, Maxwell lifts it over extra cover for a boundary.
8.6 : 8.6: Krunal Pandya to Glenn Maxwell, FOUR! Excellent shot from Maxi! He has started off well in the colors of Bangalore after struggling for Punjab last season. Krunal goes fuller this time just outside off. Maxwell shows his talent and lofts it over extra cover with minimum of fuss and finishes the over with a boundary.
10.1 : 10.1: Krunal Pandya to Glenn Maxwell, SIX! Maxwell did not a single season in the last season but he has got one here! That went many a mile. Brilliant from Maxwell! Tossed up on middle, Maxwell uses his feet and then lifts it over deep mid-wicket for a biggie. Even Virat Kohli cannot believe it.
11.1: Rahul Chahar to Glenn Maxwell, SIX! This is outrageous! Wow factor! Tossed up outside off, Maxwell adjusts and reverse sweeps it over deep cover for a maximum. Terrific.
12.3 : 12.3: Jasprit Bumrah to Virat Kohli, OUT! LBW! Rohit Sharma brings back Jasprit Bumrah in order to bring a wicket and he provides it in the form of Kohli. He loves playing against the Bangalore skipper and he gets him again. Good length ball on middle, Kohli shuffles across and then looks to flick but misses and gets hit on the pads. Bumrah appeals and up goes the finger. Kohli consults with Maxwell whether to take the review but decides against it. Can Mumbai make a comeback in this game?
14.1 : 14.1: Marco Jansen to Glenn Maxwell, OUT! CAUGHT AT SHORT FINE LEG! Maxwell goes and Mumbai are back in it big time! They got Kohli couple of overs back and now have got Maxwell. Marco Jansen gets his first wicket in the Indian T20 League. Short ball around the pads, Maxwell swivels and looks to pull but does not get the timing on it. Lynn dives forward and takes a very good catch.
14.6 : 14.6: Marco Jansen to Shahbaz Ahmed, OUT! CAUGHT! What an over this has been! Two wickets and not many runs from it! Short ball around middle, Ahmed pulls it but has it got the distance on it? No, it has not as it goes straight into the hands of Krunal Pandya at deep square leg. 54 needed in 30 balls. A lot depends on AB de Villiers now.
15.1 : 15.1: Rahul Chahar to AB de Villiers, FOUR! What a shot! A much-needed one for Bangalore. Short on off, de Villiers smacks it with the spin through covers for a boundary.
15.2 : 15.2: Rahul Chahar to AB de Villiers, SIX! SMOKED! AB de Villiers, can he be the savior once again for Bangalore?  A boundary is followed by a maximum and this does a world of good for Bangalore. Flighted around off, AB de Villiers decides to go downtown and smokes it over long off for a biggie.
16.3 : 16.3: Jasprit Bumrah to Dan Christian, OUT! CAUGHT! Dan Christian departs and Bumrah does what he does best. Come, give his skipper, the vital breakthroughs, and win the clutch situations. This was not Bumrah's best delivery. In fact it was a ball to be put away. Short and wide outside off. Generally, an Aussie will smack it to the fence. Christian cuts it with power but finds Rahul Chahar to perfection at backward point. A few inches either side of the fielder and that would have been a bound
17.1 : 17.1: Trent Boult to AB de Villiers, SIX! SMACKED! AB de Villiers stays deep inside his crease, picks the length early and flat-bats it over long off for a biggie. He is called Superman for a reason.
17.4 : 17.4: Trent Boult to AB de Villiers, FOUR! Slammed straight down the ground! Fullish on middle and off, AB de Villiers clears his front leg and smacks it straight as an arrow. Long on and long off come in but the ball dissects them and races to the fence like a bullet.
18.1 : 18.1: Jasprit Bumrah to AB de Villiers, FOUR! WHAT A SHOT! AB you beauty! Not many, in fact hardly any player can do that to Bumrah but de Villiers is out of this world. A yorker from Bumrah but de Villiers manages to take it as a full toss and hit it over extra cover for a boundary.
18.3 : 18.3: Jasprit Bumrah to AB de Villiers, FOUR! This is genius at work!  Tremendous from AB de Villiers. He sensed a short ball around off. AB was ready for it. He waits for it and then manages to get it over short third man for a boundary. Bumrah is being outdone here by another freak of a genius.
18.5 : 18.5: Jasprit Bumrah to Kyle Jamieson, OUT! RUN OUT! Very good work from Bumrah! Low full toss on off, Jamieson hits it straight back towards Bumrah. He gets his right leg to it. The ball goes behind but not too far. AB de Viliiers calls for a run. Jamieson keeps his head down and goes for it. Bumrah quickly gets to the ball and scores an underarm direct hit at the stumps. Was this single needed? This is the last ball off the over. Maybe de Villiers was better staying at the other end and taki
19.4 : 19.4: Marco Jansen to AB de Villiers, OUT! RUN OUT! AB de Villiers is short of his crease. The run around from one side to another has seen AB eat some time and that fraction of seconds has seen him depart here. Length ball on off, AB de Villiers hits it away from Krunal and long on. He takes the run and then does a whole circle to come for the second. Krunal sends a decent throw at the keeper's end. Ishan Kishan takes a brilliant take and quickly disturbs the stumps. AB de Villiers puts a dive
