On a length and outside off, Guptill looks to loft this one over point but only manages to give an easy catch to Agar to point. Just the start Australia would have been envisioning.

2.2 : 2.2: Jhye Richardson to Tim Seifert, OUT! KNOCKED HIM OVER! Richardson removes Tim very early on and this is a beautiful start for Australia! The second wicket is down and the Aussies are on top now. Jhye goes for a yorker length ball around off, tails back in ever-so-slightly as Tim Seifert looks to get his bat down to block. He is late into the block and the ball goes onto disturb the furniture behind.
3.5 : 3.5: Daniel Sams to Kane Williamson, FOUR! Slightly uppish but the ball still finds the ropes. Length and around off, Williamson skips down the track and pulls this one through mid-wicket for a boundary.
3.6 : 3.6: Daniel Sams to Kane Williamson, OUT! EDGED AND CAUGHT! The big fish has been netted. Kane Williamson goes back for just 12 runs, off 13 balls. Sams strikes again and gets his 2nd wicket. Sams goes for the back of a length delivery around off, Williamson looks to hook this one away but only manages to get an inside edge, which Wade takes easily. 3 down now are the Kiwis.
4.6: Jhye Richardson to Devon Conway, SIX! Whipped away wonderfully! Uses the pace well! On a length and on the pads, Conway comes down the track slightly and whips this one over the fine leg fence. Sams was the man in the deep and he tried to take it but the ball sailed over him. 
5.5 : 5.5: Kane Richardson to Devon Conway, FOUR! Beautiful timing! Length delivery around off, Conway does not look to hit it hard. He just opens the face of the bat and times it beautifully in the gap through covers for a boundary.
7.3 : 7.3: Ashton Agar to Devon Conway, FOUR! Brings out the reverse sweep to good effect. Floated on middle and off, Conway brings the reverse sweep in play and hits it through backward point for a boundary.
8.5 : 8.5: Jhye Richardson to Glenn Phillips, SIX! Smoked away! First biggie off the game for Glenn Phillips! He is getting in his zone now. Short on middle, Glenn Phillips picks it up early and hooks it over backward square leg for a biggie.
9.5: Ashton Agar to Devon Conway, FOUR! Swept and swept hard! On the pads, Devon Conway gets on his knee and sweeps it through backward square leg for a boundary.

James Neesham clips this one uppishly towards the deep mid-wicket fence. Sams runs in to his right and Maxwell runs to his left. The ball bounces before the ropes and it looks like it will be a boundary. Sams pushes the ball back and goes past the ropes. Maxwell looks to collect but instead, pushes the ball back into the ropes. Maxwell was livid with himself and so was
15.3 : 15.3: Daniel Sams to James Neesham, FOUR! Good shot! Slower delivery around off, Neesham swings it over the bowler's head for a boundary. 
15.6 : 15.6: Daniel Sams to Devon Conway, FOUR! Picked the gap beautifully! Another back of a length delivery on middle, Devon Conway pulls it and this time it is in front of square on the leg side. His bottom hand comes off the bat but he still finds the gap and gets a boundary.
16.4 : 16.4: Jhye Richardson to James Neesham, FOUR! Finds the gap wonderfully! Slower ball but straying on the pads. Neesham swings and gets it between short fine leg and square leg for a boundary. 
16.5 : 16.5: Jhye Richardson to James Neesham, OUT! CAUGHT! Jhye Richardson gets his man and wins the battle. Full and wide outside off, it is away from the arc of Neesham. The ball also shapes a bit. Neesham swings but gets an outside edge. The ball goes straight into the mitts of Matthew Wade. He takes a regulation catch and brings an end to a very good knock from James Neesham!

19.2 : 19.2: Kane Richardson to Mitchell Santner, FOUR! Just what New Zealand wanted! Short ball which is slower in pace outside off, Santner pulls it in the gap through the cow corner region for a boundary. 
19.4 : 19.4: Kane Richardson to Devon Conway, SIX! Slogged away and Conway moves into the 90s! Shortish on middle, Conway slogs across the line and smokes it over mid-wicket for a biggie. Moves to 94 now.
19.5 : 19.5: Kane Richardson to Devon Conway, FOUR! Moves to 98! Low full toss on middle, Kane overcorrects this time. Devon Conway hits it through mid-wicket and in the gap for a boundary,
0.5 : 0.5: Tim Southee to Aaron Finch, OUT! CAUGHT! Finch is a goner and Southee picks up an early wicket. It is Conway, who takes the catch and there is no way that you can keep him out of the game. Tim bowls a length ball outside off this time, Finch looks to slash this one through point but does not time it well and hits it uppishly too. Devon Conway moves to his right and takes a good catch. The Kiwis start off strongly.
1.5: Trent Boult to Josh Philippe, OUT! CAUGHT! Boult gets his first and the debutant, Philippe goes back after scoring just 2 runs. Guess what? IT IS DEVON CONWAY AGAIN WITH THE CATCH. This man is on fire. Slightly behind the good length and on the pads, Josh Philippe looks to tuck it away but closes the face of his bat early. Takes the leading edge and loops up towards square leg and Devon Conway runs in and takes a good catch. 
3.1 : 3.1: Trent Boult to Matthew Wade, SIX! Innovative from Matthew Wade this time! Boult bowls a length ball on middle and off, Wade shuffles across and just helps this one its way over the fine leg fence. 
3.2 : 3.2: Trent Boult to Matthew Wade, OUT! CAUGHT! The Black Caps pick up their third wicket now and the Australian top order are in shambles. The simplest of catches to Williamson. After being sent into the stands, Boult replies with a length ball outside off, Wade reaches out and looks for another big shot but hits this one with the toe end of the bat. The ball goes up in the air to the right of mid off, where Kane Williamson settles under this one and takes a dolly.
4.2: Tim Southee to Glenn Maxwell, OUT! EDGED AND CAUGHT! Southee has his second and the fourth wicket is down for the Aussies. The Big Show goes back for a very, very small show now and James Neesham makes no mistake. Length but this is outside off too, Maxwell swings his blade at this but can only induce an outside edge. It goes to the left of James Neesham at second slip and he comes across and takes the catch. 166 more needed from 94 balls now.
4.6 : 4.6: Tim Southee to Mitchell Marsh, FOUR! Slightly uppish but through the fielder and into the ropes now. Fuller and on the middle pole now. Marsh clips this one uppish past the fielder at mid-wicket. It evades him and the ball meets the ropes. 
5.2 : 5.2: Kyle Jamieson to Mitchell Marsh, FOUR! Outside off on a length. The ball sits up nicely for Marsh. He has an open field on the leg side in the deep. He pulls it with intent over mid-wicket and gets a boundary. 
5.5 : 5.5: Kyle Jamieson to Mitchell Marsh, SIX! Short and punished! It is outside off, Marsh looks in good touch as he smashes his pull flat over the ropes at deep mid-wicket for a biggie. 
6.1 : 6.1: James Neesham to Mitchell Marsh, FOUR! Good start to the over for Australia. Shortish ball on middle, Marsh steps down the track and pulls it to the right of deep square leg for a boundary. 
7.1: Kyle Jamieson to Mitchell Marsh, FOUR! Easy pickings! Slower ball but it is a full toss on off, Marsh flicks it away from short mid-wicket and gets a boundary. 
8.4 : 8.4: Ish Sodhi to Marcus Stoinis, FOUR! Good effort from Glenn Phillips but cannot save the boundary! Short and outside off. Stoinis makes full use of the width and hits it behind point. Glenn Phillips runs to his left and puts a dive. He gets his hands to the ball but cannot keep it away from the ropes. 
8.5 : 8.5: Ish Sodhi to Marcus Stoinis, OUT! CAUGHT! Sodhi gets his first in his first over and Australia in all sorts of trouble here. Half the side back in the hut and they still need another 129 runs now.  Short but this one is closer to the off pole. Stoinis looks to flat-bat is straight down the ground but he hits it on the up and straight to Ish Sodhi. The leggie shows great reflex and takes a good catch off his own bowling. 
10.2 : 10.2: Ish Sodhi to Ashton Agar, SIX! SLAM! That one was a cracker of a shot now. Flighted on off, Agar gets low and hammers this one over the mid-wicket region. 
10.6 : 10.6: Ish Sodhi to Mitchell Marsh, FOUR! Short and wide, slapped through point for a boundary.
11.3 : 11.3: Mitchell Santner to Ashton Agar, EDGY FOUR! The Aussies won't care though. Short, around off, Ashton Agar looks to slash this one away but the ball takes the outside edge and goes to the third man fence.
12.2 : 12.2: Kyle Jamieson to Ashton Agar, FOUR! Looked like a very well played shot. Fuller, around off now, Ashton Agar comes down the track and flicks this one handsomely towards the fine leg fence.

13.2 : 13.2: Ish Sodhi to Daniel Sams, OUT! CAUGHT! Good catch from the big Kiwi, Jamieson and Sams goes back now. It all looks like it is coming to a close now. Flatter and on middle, Sams swivels and looks to pull but the ball takes the top edge and balloons towards the leg side, near the short fine leg region, where Kyle Jamieson takes a good catch. 86 needed in 40 now.
13.4 : 13.4: Ish Sodhi to Ashton Agar, OUT! CAUGHT! The Sodhi and Jamieson connection strikes again and the Aussies are now down by 8 wickets! Flighted, around off, Agar looks to go big over the off side but the ball takes the outside edge and goes towards Jamieson at short third man and he comes ahead and takes a great catch. The Kiwis need just 2 more wickets now.
15.2 : 15.2: Ish Sodhi to Kane Richardson, OUT! CAUGHT! That's the fourth wicket for Sodhi and the ninth wicket falls now. The game is heading to a close now. Full, flighted, outside off, Kane Richardson lofts this one towards the long off region and James Neesham has a very easy take there.
