PITCH REPORT- Daren Ganga is the pitch master for the game once again. He says there is a little bit of dark spots on the surface due to the overnight rains. He feels that it is a better wicket than yesterday. On the surface he says there is a bit of grass covering on the wicket.
TOSS - We are all set for the spin of the coin. Up goes the coin and falls in the favour of Kohli. INDIA WIN THE TOSS AND OPT TO BAT FIRST.
Indian skipper, Virat Kohli says that the wicket looks good and he expects the pitch to get slower as the game goes on and hence he wants to bat. Reckons the ball will come onto the bat in the first six overs but then one might have to assess the conditions. On his team changes, Virat informs they are playing the same eleven.
West Indies skipper, Carlos Brathwaite says that it looks like a better wicket than the last game and he expects the pitch to not change much. Further adds that bowling first gives them more time to assess the conditions. Says the team needs to take smarter decision and not just go aggressive or defensive but just play smart cricket. Informs that Pierre comes in place of Campbell which means Narine would open the batting.

The final over has really spoiled all the good work done by the West Indian bowlers before the 20th over! Once again the Indian middle order failed to come to the party and a few loose shots put the Men in Blue in a spot. Oshane Thomas and Sheldon Cottrell were the standout bowlers, who bowled well especially at the death.
Unlike Saturday, the Indian openers come good in this match and formed a 67-run association. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli then took it forward with a 48-run partnership and put India in a strong position. But a flurry of wickets followed after that and from 115/1, the visitors slipped to 143/5 in a space of 29 balls. The handy cameo from Krunal Pandya at the very end propelled the score past the 150-run mark.
West Indies have a stiff target in front of them. They have seen how India approached their innings today and should be trying to ape it. The hosts need to play out the initial phase safely but not overcautiously as stroke-making won't be easy once the ball gets old. Can the Windies chase this down to level the series? Update 1423 local - Play has been officially CALLED OFF! The conditions only got worse and it started to rain heavily leaving the umpires with no option but to end it.
Right then, INDIA WIN BY 22 RUNS (DLS method) to take an unassailable lead in the 3-match series. It was a much better batting performance by India although the middle order still needs to find a way to score runs. In reply, the hosts once again faltered with the bat at the start. The move to send Sunil Narine flopped as rather than giving a quickfire start, he consumed too many balls.
