Match over
0.1 : 0.1: O Thomas to R Sharma, FOUR! India are off with a bang! Thomas bowls a real loosener first up. It is on the body, Rohit flicks it fine down the leg side for a boundary.
2.2 : 2.2: O Thomas to R Sharma, FOUR! Lovely wrist work. On the pads, Rohit just picks it up and flicks it over mid-wicket for an effortless boundary.
2.6 : 2.6: O Thomas to S Dhawan, FOUR! Second boundary of the over and Dhawan gets his first. Back of a length ball on off, Shikhar uses the bounce and helps it over the third man region for a boundary.
3.1 : 3.1: S Cottrell to R Sharma, FOUR! Beautiful! Rohit makes batting look so easy! Fuller on off, Rohit lofts his drive over covers for a boundary. Effortless from Ro-Hit!
3.3 : 3.3: S Cottrell to R Sharma, FOUR! Stylish! Fuller on off, Rohit just lofts it over mid off for an easy boundary. His second in this over.
4.6 : 4.6: S Narine to S Dhawan, FOUR! Beats the diving mid on fielder! Floated on middle, Dhawan comes down the track and hits it with venom wide of mid on. The fielder there dives to his right but cannot stop the ball which beats him for pace.
5.3 : 5.3: K Paul to R Sharma, SIX! First biggie of the day! Paul bowls a rank full toss on middle and leg, Rohit says thank you very much and smashes it over the mid-wicket fence for a maximum.
5.5 : 5.5: K Paul to R Sharma, FOUR! Brilliant execution! Fuller on off and middle, Rohit gets down on one knee and sweeps it towards the fine leg region. He did not time it well but gets the desired result. That brings up India's 50 too.
6.4 : 6.4: C Brathwaite to S Dhawan, FOUR! Very good batting! Good length ball outside off, Dhawan plays it late through square on the off side and fetches himself a boundary.
7.5 : 7.5: K Paul to S Dhawan, OUT! Bowled! West Indies finally break the opening partnership. Full and straight on middle, Dhawan looks to play the uppish flick across the line but misses it completely. Paul does not miss and disturbs the timber. Dhawan would be disappointed with that. He was looking very good in the middle but he fails to convert his start.
10.2 : 10.2: S Narine to R Sharma, SIX! Slammed over mid-wicket for a maximum. Narine bowls this one short on middle and leg, Rohit just goes onto the back foot and hoicks it over the mid-wicket fielder. With this six the Hitman becomes the highest maximum getter in T20Is.
11.2: K Pierre to V Kohli, SIX! That's a maximum for Kohli! He jumps down to the pitch of the delivery and chooses the safest part of the ground, i.e. over the bowler's head. Wonderful timing and it sails over the sightscreen.
12.1 : 12.1: C Brathwaite to R Sharma, SIX! Rohit has the license now to go big! Brathwaite serves it right into the slot, full and angling in around off, Sharma swings his bat across the line and dumps it over mid-wicket for a biggie.
12.3 : 12.3: C Brathwaite to R Sharma, FOUR! Goes over the off side this time. Not in full control though. A full toss on off, Rohit tries to go straight but ends up slicing it off the outside edge over point for a boundary.
13.5 : 13.5: O Thomas to R Sharma, OUT! Massive breakthrough for West Indies! The dangerous Rohit Sharma has been sent packing. Shortish length ball around off, Sharma stays back and tries powering it across the line. But it appears that the ball hurries onto his willow and takes the top edge. Hetmyer gets underneath it from extra cover and takes the skier safely by backtracking a bit. End of an entertaining knock by the Hitman!
14.2 : 14.2: S Narine to V Kohli, FOUR! Wow, those wrists of steel! Kohli shimmies down the track to a full delivery and flicks it with authority to the deep mid-wicket fence. He generates a lot of power through his bottom hand.
15.1 : 15.1: O Thomas to R Pant, OUT! Pant throws away his wicket early once again! A golden duck on Saturday followed by a 5-ball 4 on Sunday. Thomas has his second wicket. He delivers it short and outside off, Rishabh stands back to play the upper cut but fails to pack his shot with enough power. It flies in the air and Pollard takes the simplest of catches near the fence at third man. A dejected Pant is on his way back.
16.2 : 16.2: S Cottrell to V Kohli, OUT! Cottrell is having a great weekend. Dismissed Virat on Saturday and Sunday, now that's a big player to dismiss twice in two days. A nicely served fuller length ball on middle, a hint of movement as it holds off the surface a bit, Kohli wants to play his trademark flick shot but but the ball sneaks through his blade and uproots the middle stump. Here comes the salute from Sheldon. A timely breakthrough for the Windies, this will cost India at least 25-30 runs.
18.3 : 18.3: S Cottrell to M Pandey, OUT! Smart bowling by Sheldon Cottrell. He alters his length and bangs in a short ball around middle and leg. Manish Pandey stays leg side of the delivery and attempts to pull it over the leg side. But there is good bounce on this one and it takes the top edge. The keeper jumps to pouch the catch and once again Pandey fails to impress.
19.1 : 19.1: K Paul to K Pandya, SIX! This one has gone the distance! Taken a while but it has come at the right time for the Indian team. Paul fails to land his yorker and Pandya makes full use of a full toss in his half. He swings and swings it hard over square leg for a maximum. 150 up!
19.2 : 19.2: K Paul to K Pandya, SIX! And again! Paul delivers a length this time, around off and angling in, Krunal latches onto it and launches it over long off for back-to-back maximums. Momentum shifting!
19.5 : 19.5: K Paul to R Jadeja, SIX! Jadeja joins the party! Keemo is leaking runs here. Another yorker gone wrong and Jadeja needs no second invitation there. He muscles a full toss down to cow corner and it lands flush on the ropes.
1.2 : 1.2: B Kumar to E Lewis, OUT! That's a clean catch by Kumar and Lewis departs cheaply once again. A delivery landing on a length around off, it stops a bit onto the batsman who tries to defend from the crease. But it takes the upper half of his bat and loops back towards the bowler. Kumar dives across to his right to claim the catch. The umpires get together and take it upstairs to check whether it's taken cleanly or not. Meanwhile, Lewis is seen walking back. The replays confirm that Kumar has
2.6 : 2.6: W Sundar to S Narine, OUT! Bowled 'em! The pressure was mounting on Narine after so many dots and that has brought his downfall. Sundar sends it flatter through the air and lands it on middle, it skids on after pitching as Narine gives the charge. He swings his bat but fails to meet the ball and it goes through to rattle the stumps. The move to open with Narine has not worked as he departs for a 12-ball 4.
4.2 : 4.2: K Ahmed to R Powell, FOUR! This one is nailed down the ground! Khaleel delivers it full and around off, slower in pace, Powell presents the full face of his bat and smashes it straight back past his partner for a boundary at long off.
5.2: N Saini to N Pooran, FOUR! Shades of Yuvraj Singh on that shot! A touch short in length around leg, Pooran moves back, lifts his front leg in the air and then spanks it through backward square leg. Plenty of bottom hand and it races away to the fence.
5.6 : 5.6: N Saini to R Powell, FOUR! Well timed and placed! Short in length and on middle, Powell is on top of the delivery and pulls it through backward square leg. It speeds away and the fine leg fielder stands no chance of cutting it off. 25/2 in Powerplay, India have set the tone in this run chase and West Indies are running behind.
6.3 : 6.3: K Ahmed to R Powell, SIX! Rovman Powell is a real delight to watch when in full throttle. Ahmed lands it full and around off, Rovman gives it the full whack of his bat and sends it packing over long off.
6.6 : 6.6: K Ahmed to R Powell, FOUR! Boom! Khaleel overpitches again, around off, Powell latches onto it and smacks it over wide mid off for a boundary. 11 from the over and West Indies will hope that this breaks the shackles.
7.3 : 7.3: N Saini to R Powell, EDGY FOUR! Not where Powell intended to hit by any stretch of imagination. The extra pace of Saini brought that inside edge but he's still unlucky to concede a boundary. He spears in a length ball on middle, Powell tries to whip it over mid-wicket but it takes the inside edge, misses the stumps and races away to the fine leg fence.
7.4 : 7.4: N Saini to R Powell, FOUR! Streaky again! No justice for bowlers. Saini darts in a length ball on off, Powell stays back and tries to defend late but it takes the outside edge and flies past the keeper for a boundary.
8.1 : 8.1: W Sundar to R Powell, SIX! Dismissed! Loopy delivery, landing full on middle, Powell sits down on one knee and slog sweeps it massively over backward square leg for a biggie. 50 comes up for West Indies.
11.6 : 11.6: K Pandya to R Powell, SIX! This one has gone all the way to spoil a good over. Slightly short and on off, Powell picks it early, goes back deep inside the crease and muscles it over mid-wicket.
12.5 : 12.5: N Saini to R Powell, FOUR! Bang! Saini delivers it on a length around off, Powell throws all his power behind this shot and thwacks it past the mid off fielder for a boundary. That's not all, it has been given as a no ball because there were only three fielders inside the circle.
13.2 : 13.2: K Pandya to N Pooran, OUT! Excellent catch by Manish Pandey, lovely piece of athleticism by him. Pandya delivers it flat and a touch short around off, Pooran fetches it from there and tries to pump it over long on. But he gets more height than distance on his shot. Pandey settles himself near the rope to catch the ball and then tosses it up as he crosses the rope. He then returns to catch it again. An uncharacteristic knock by Nicholas is over, bringing an end to a 76-run stand. 84 needed
13.5 : 13.5: K Pandya to R Powell, OUT! That's hitting the stumps and Krunal Pandya has turned this chase completely in India's favour. Both the set batsmen are back in the hut leaving West Indies in a precarious situation. Pandya dishes out an arm ball on middle and it skids on to ping Powell on the front pad as he fails to play it out. They appeal and the finger has gone up. Rovman takes the referral but it's of no use. The Hawk Eye shows that it has hit him in line and is going on to destroy the stu
13.6 : 13.6: K Pandya to S Hetmyer, FOUR! Slapped away! Short in length and wide outside off, enough room there for Hetmyer to whack it through backward point for a boundary. Outstanding over by Krunal, 6 runs and 2 wickets from it.
14.2 : 14.2: R Jadeja to K Pollard, FOUR! Powered away! Flatter one, on middle, Pollard lines up the delivery and hammers it over the bowler's head for a boundary at long on.
