Air Marshal Chandra visits 9 BRD in Pune

Air Marshal Jagdish Chandra, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-Chief) of the Maintenance Command of the Indian Air Force, arrived on a two-day familiarisation visit to the 9 Base Repair Depot (BRD), Pune, on Wednesday.

According to a statement issued by the press information bureau, this was the first visit of the Air Marshal to the 9 BRD after taking over as AOC-in-chief of the Maintenance Command. The Air Marshal was accompanied by his wife Sharmila Chandra.

The Air Marshal was received by Air Commodore Deepak Sood, air officer commanding, 9 BRD and his wife Sarita Sood. The Air Marshal was presented with a Guard of Honour on his arrival at the depot. He visited and interacted with the personnel at various work sites of the depot and evaluated the maintenance activities undertaken by the depot personnel.

Sharmila, president, Air Force wives welfare association, (AFWWA, regional) took stock of the numerous welfare activities undertaken by AFWWA (local) for the welfare and benefit of the air warriors and their families.
