Good news for millions of Provident Fund subscribers. The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) launched a WhatsApp helpline number for grievance redressal of its subscribers. This is in addition to the various other means of grievance redressal forums of EPFO

Apart from EPFIGMS portal, CPGRAMS and a dedicated 24x7 call centre, PF account holders can now find solution to their problems through WhatsApp helpline number.

Through this facility, PF subscribers can interact directly with EPFO's regional offices and get a one-to-one guidance. Dedicated WhatsApp helpline numbers of all regional offices are available on the homepage of EPFO's official website.

The helpline is an attempt to further strengthen the direct channel of communication between the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) and its subscribers amid the COVID pandemic. The facility allows customers to raise queries and grievances from home, reducing the need to physically visit EPFO's offices.

How to use EPFO WhatsApp service

Go to EPFO's website at https://www.epfindia.gov.in/site_en/index.php.

Now look for the dedicated WhatsApp Helpline number of your concerned regional office.

Then save the number on your smartphone and open the chat on WhatsApp.

Write your query or grievance and tap on send option.

The WhatsApp helpline service has been started in all 138 regional offices of EPFO. Any member can lodge a complaint through WhatsApp message. To know the WhatsApp number of your area, the account holder can visit the official website of EPFO https://www.epfindia.gov.in.

Earlier this month, EPFO launched electronic facility for PRINCIPAL EMPLOYERS to view EPF compliances of their contractors. Now, EPFO registered employer engaging employees through contractor(s) can add the details of contractor(s) and contract employees at EPFO's unified portal.

PRINCIPAL EMPLOYERS (PE) not registered with EPFO can register on unified portal to receive login/password to add details of their contractor(s) and contract employees. On adding contractor's details, PE can view through their login the employee wise remittance made by contractors through ECR. PE can now ensure their contractor(s) enrol all contract workers and remit EPF contribution through ECR.
