Fifteen people, including the bus driver and the conductor, were injured when a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus collided with a Tempo in Khed Shivapur on Pune-Satara Road early on Friday.

The bus was coming to Pune from Belgaum when it rammed into a Tempo parked on the roadside. However, no casualties were reported in the incident.

According to the police, when the bus, ferrying 40 passengers, reached near the toll plaza in Shivapur, the driver failed to notice the parked Tempo on the roadside and rammed the bus into it.
Police inspector SG Bhote from Rajgad police station said, “The Tempo driver had parked his vehicle at a turn and had failed to put up a safety sign or indicator. He told us that he had left the Tempo on the spot as it ran out of diesel. He had gone to get diesel when the mishap took place.”

Local residents, who woke up to the sound of the collision, rushed to the spot to help the victims. Locals shifted the victims to Sassoon hospital in available vehicles.”

Sassoon hospital authorities said that none of the victims were seriously injured. Hospital superintendent DB Kulkarni told DNA, “All victims are undergoing treatment in various wards. They have received minor injuries and all are out of danger.”
