Who should sponsor Narain Karthikeyan?

The fact that F-1 driver’s negotiations with Midland have fallen through and he will not be on 2006 grid has dissapointed lovers of the sport who feel govt should fund him.

Kickoff:

He is the only Indian racer who has reached international levels and could not go further just because of lack of funds. The government should take the initiative and help him out. After all when he wins he will make India proud. — Bhushan Bhagat /Mira Road

There is no need to finance Narain because spending such a huge amount of money for a single sportsman does not make sense. It is not that he will definitely win and an opportunity will be lost if there aren't enough funds. —  Sharmista Khuranna /Kurla
