Indian skipper MS Dhoni has admitted he is worried at the growing list of injured players in the team, but also insisted that the ongoing England tour would extend great exposure to youngsters in the absence of injured seniors.

Dhoni said this after Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma joined the list on Saturday.

“If you think about the next three or four years these are the players who will be playing at that point of time. So, the more experience they get, the better it is,” Dhoni said after the first ODI at Durham was abandoned due to rain.

“I think games like these give them the kind of experience that is needed against a good bowling attack. So, I think it is a big learning experience for them and definitely that will help them in future,” he added.

India will now play the second ODI in Southampton on Tuesday with Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Rohit Sharma and Harbhajan Singh out with injuries.
