I was a basketball fan before cricket happened

I follow basketball. I have played the game in my school days in Goa. I was a regular member of my school team. I was a pivot. As my life took a different twist (for good), so did my liking for a different game, cricket. Thanks to my husband Vinod (Kambli), I’ve started liking cricket.

My brother and father they are keen followers of the game. They have helped me in enriching my knowledge of the game. Now I’ve command over the game, as a fan that is.

Among the players, it is Sachin Tendulkar who I like. It is a treat to watch him play when he is going great guns. Brian Lara is another great batsman.

The southpaw is elegant in strokeplay. He is a master of cover drives and square cuts. Shane Warne stands out when it comes to bowling. Apart from all these players, I love to see my husband (Vinod) play the game.

Tennis is the other game I follow, especially when there is a Grand Slam going. Yes, I did watch the US Open, especially the finals. It was not possible to stay awake but I saw the replay of the finals next day. I am a fan of Roger Federer. He is unbeatable.

Federer is ruthless on court with his opponents and the best part is I have never seen him getting wild on court, come what may. But nobody can match his temperament.

He is a cool customer. He is an amazing athlete. There are so many things one can learn from this sportsman. He is agile and strong. I like Maria Sharapova among the women. She definitely is not cool as Federer but plays well. Though she is not winning Grand Slams, she is a good player.

Being a model I am keen on fitness training. I am regular at the gymnasium and at the pool to keep myself fit. Apart from fitness, I am very particular with the diet too.
